Vera did egg him on when he leg swept him early in the round and then proceeded to celebrate like he won the damn fight.
lmao i forgot all about that. that shit was hilarious. it wasnt exactly the same type of mean-spirited douche taunting that silva was doing, but i can see why it would piss him off. we shouldnt even be having this discussion though, because vera should have been cut several fights ago.

EDIT: he has been cut since the fight, for those who didnt know. personally i really hope SF doesnt pick him up. wouldnt mind seeing him in dream though.

which brings me to another point-- convincingly beating a brandon vera doesnt translate into have success over a rampage jackson, even when he's on his decline. i'm not saying he cant beat page, i'm just saying that beating vera is no true indicator of whats to come.

Machida lost the first 2 rounds and its noones fault but his own. He fought like a bitch and a lot of people called the fight boring cuz of it.

But you gotta give Rampage credit for that to because Shogun was the only guy to ever take a round from Machida before that, and people just thought that it was Muai Thai was his karate's weakness.. But Rampage came in with a style that machida should have exploited and took the first two rds.

Maybe Machida forgot it was a 3 rd fight?

rampage pressured him and didnt make many mistakes , that's what machida does is stay out side and wait for his opponent to fuck up

GSP would get DOMINATED by the likes of Sonnen, Okami, Marquardt etc. etc. He'd put up a fight against less tier opponents, but no way would he be kingpin @ 185. & Rampage MIGHT beat Silva, but he's not gonna "smash" him by any means. I wouldn't be surprised if Silva uses a similar gameplan like he did with Vera, hell even if he ko's Rampage I wouldn't be surprised. Quinton's last two performances have been less than stellar. Safe to say he's lost a step as a fighter.

they must've offered Wand a nice off the table bonus, cuz he did not want to face Stann the Mann at all. And wasn't ducking him, he's just so fucking cool that he doesn't want to beat a war hero.

Nelson beat Mir in a jiu jitsu match before I believe.. Plus, he has better standup..
I NEED TO SEE THE LINES ON THIS FIGHT...IF NELSON IS ON THE UNDER...IM A DROP SOME FUNDS ON HIM...AFTER HIS LAST SHOWING AGAINST JUNIOR DOS SANTOS (DUDE GOTS A GOOD CHIN) AND KNOWING HE GOTS THE BETTER HANDS AND JITS...THIS IS A FIGHT, QUITE POSSIBLY PAYING OUT A HEFTY RETURN... CAUSE THE MAJORITY OF PEOPLE STILL AINT CONVINCED BIG COUNTRY'S THE REAL DEAL, WHEN HE'S BIG TIME UNDER RATED.
