Boooo..why don't ya'll like Bones?

He's humble, hungry...and he's exciting to watch.

What did I miss?
He said he wanted to be a cop and that he was the type to tell on other kids for smoking weed when he was in school. If that matters, since the Sicc is 99.9% anti-cop.

Myself, I don't really have a problem with him, he is very exciting to watch and very talented, the snitching thing bothered me when I read it, but not enough to throw hate towards the guy.

Man, I wish you guys would get the stories straight.

He said, ONCE, he told on a kid for smoking weed in school. Not that he made a habit of it. The way I hear people talk about this incident, makes it seem like Jones will always snitch on you and still would. That's just not true.

I realize "snitching" is a huge deal, and while I wouldn't have done it, you can't hate a kid for being brought up to "do the right thing" once in a while.

And wasn't his father a minister or something? Hard not to have "do the right thing" drilled into your head when you're being smashed over the head with the Bible day in and day out.

Maybe you should do your research before trying to correct others and just FYI, I like Jones and was just giving a reason why some might not.

http://fiveouncesofpain.com/2009/12/04/jon-jones-i-was-always-the-kid-that-snitched/

As the just twenty-two year old Jon Jones prepares for the biggest bout of his professional fighting career this Saturday evening during “The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale”, he may have just unknowingly created a whole new legion of Matt Hamill fans that have never existed before. Most notably anyone that has felt the sting of a snitch at any point during their career of doing bad.

A self-described “sheltered” and “never popular” child growing up, Jones was never the one looking to cause trouble during his years spent in grade school.

“As a kid I was never popular,” admitted “Bones” in a recent conversation with Sherdog.com. “I was always kind of just nice to everyone. I don’t know. It was always about me and my brothers growing up.

“My parents kept us pretty sheltered. We were never allowed to spend the night at our friends’ house, not once. We were always taught to take care of our family and do the right things.”

In Jones eyes, doing the right thing definitely included spilling the beans anytime he witnessed anything he judged to be wrong as an adolescent.

“I’ve always been a person who tries to do the right thing in life, for the most part,” said Jones. “I’m no angel, but I was always the kid who snitched on the kids who had pot. I don’t want to offend the pot smokers out there, but I was kind of just a snitch. I was just down for people doing the right thing. My parents kind of raised me to be a good guy. I’ve always been down for the good side, I guess.”

Jones and Hamill will face off during the TUF 10 Finale set for December 5 from Las Vegas, airing live on Spike TV.

Oh yeah, I did remember hearing that stuff Jon Jones said. Well, you can tell the guy is a square, so the snitching shit doesn't surprise me. Pinche rata.

I just like the way he fights. That's all.

Exactly, it's not like I plan to go do dirt with the guy, or tell him what I have or have not done. I just like to watch him fight and look forward to see what he can do to the upper tier of competition.

I have a feeling this main event is not going to turn out the way people want. Both fighters like to start off slow and feel their opponent out. Both will fight with caution due to the respect for each other's hands.
ITS PROBABLY GONNA BE PRETTY TECHNICAL...BUT IF THEY LET LOOSE IT'LL BE SOME SHIT...

Spike TV Prelims Return With Cerrone-Kelly and Omigawa-Mendes

While recent UFC preliminary-card specials have been slotted for ION Television, Facebook and UFC.com, Spike TV is still in the mix.

Sources close to the organizations today told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) Spike TV's popular "UFC Prelims" specials will return in 2011, and the first will air next month as part of UFC 126.

The Feb. 5 broadcast is expected to feature lightweights Donald Cerrone (13-3 MMA, 0-0 UFC) vs. Paul Kelly (11-3 MMA, 5-3 UFC) and featherweights Chad Mendes (9-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) vs. Michihiro Omigawa (12-8-1 MMA, 0-2 UFC).

UFC 126 takes place at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas on Super Bowl weekend. The night's main card airs on pay-per-view.

Despite the planned broadcast, a source told MMAjunkie.com the UFC and Spike TV haven't finalized a contract renewal, which is needed for 2012 and beyond. However, the "UFC Prelims" specials are expected to go on as planned for 2011.

UFC 126 marks the UFC debuts of former WEC fighters Cerrone and Mendes. Omigawa, who recently competed for the WEC, returns to the UFC for the first time since a two-fight stint concluded in 2008.

The UFC first offered a PPV teaser broadcast for UFC 103 in 2009, when the UFC went head-to-head with a boxing PPV broadcast featuring Floyd Mayweather vs. Juan Manuel Marquez. The specials proved effective enough at generating last-minute PPV buys that officials from the UFC and the organization's longtime cable partner decided to make them a regular offering.

The specials consistently draw between 1.1 million and 1.7 million viewers per event on Spike TV. (By comparison, ION scored 829,000 viewers for UFC 125.)

The latest UFC 126 card now includes:

MAIN CARD (Pay-per-view)
Champ Anderson Silva vs. Vitor Belfort (for middleweight title)
Forrest Griffin vs. Rich Franklin
Jake Ellenberger vs. Carlos Eduardo Rocha
Ryan Bader vs. Jon Jones
Antonio Banuelos vs. Miguel Torres
PRELIMINARY CARD (Spike TV)
Paul Kelly vs. Donald Cerrone
Chad Mendes vs. Michihiro Omigawa
PRELIMINARY CARD (Untelevised)
Gabe Ruediger vs. Paul Taylor
Demetrious Johnson vs. Norifumi "Kid" Yamamoto
Kyle Kingsbury vs. Ricardo Romero
Mike Pierce vs. Kenny Robertson
