Ty Law is a good corner if he's in zone coverage. He's a smart player and his awareness is very high. If the Chiefs plan on playing a lot of zone coverage then he should fit. If they plan on blitzing and playing a lot of man to man coverage.... Ty Law is going to get hit up by the Raiders. There's no way he or Surtain can hang with Randy Moss one on one in man coverage. We'll see what happens.
When you have good cornerbacks like that, you can really stay in zone coverage a lot more. Put Surtain on one side and Law on the other, and then you can keep putting 8 in the box without having to worry about not having enough people in the secondary. Use the extra man in the box to put pressure on the quarterback so he can't stay in the pocket as long, causing him to make a rushed pass and force a throw, and bam there's Ty Law capitalizing on the QB's mistakes. Whenever you have to go man coverage you can pull one of the linebackers to safety and then have 4 men in the secondary, that way if anyone gets beat deep there's usually someone else to pick up the receiver. Then you wont be putting as much pressure on the QB but you're still covering the field as well.

Even if they aren't as good in man coverage (which I'm not so sure of, Ty Law), they still have a lot more experience than a younger DB who can keep up with a receiver but will still make mistakes, not have the field vision, leadership to get people where they're going, etc. Ty Law has a lot of intangibles that makes him a much better DB than a younger, faster player. But seriously...Knight, Surtain, Law would have been one of the craziest threats in the NFL a few years ago...but now you'd still have to rank them as an above average secondary.

Fuck Ty Law. That bitch cost me a Fantasy Football Championship last year.

It was a playoff matchup, the one before the Championship round and I was goin up against someone who had him. Going into the MNF game, I was up by a couple points, and Law's faggot ass had to go and get an INT for a TD. If he wouldn't have done that, I would have been in the championship round, and the person in the championship round stunk it up that week, while I would have had enough points to win.

Fuck Ty Law.

yeah, i think herman edwards will be able to trust law and surtain on an island with one-on-one coverage. but with kansas city lacking a potent pass rush, i don't know about that...
