KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Pro Bowl cornerback Ty Law agreed to a five-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.

Law spent last season with the New York Jets, leading the NFL with 10 interceptions. He will rejoin coach Herman Edwards in Kansas City. Edwards left the Jets for the Chiefs in January, and has vowed to rebuild a defense that has been near the bottom of the league for five years.

Law is expected to be in Kansas City on Monday for a physical, team spokesman Bob Moore told The Associated Press.

I know law and surtain will be factors, but 2 people won't make a defense. kc is getting old, with the exception of larry johnson. I see them fighting with us for second place in the division, but barely losing....although we're going to be more concerned with beating denver

KC Defense is lookin nice, they got some nice youngsters in the D, they got that 1 LB Johnson i think whos a savage, they got a nice secondary, and a Defensive minded coach, i think they gonna compete with Den for 1st, while oak and sd compete for 3rd place

If Ty Law was anywhere near what he used to be more than 2 or 3 teams would have been looking at him, and 1 of them would have throwen the money at him.

I am not concerned much at all.

That's the same thing everyone said about him last year. His foot injury plus his age meant that he wasnt worth the big money he was asking for. Then he puts up 10 interceptions for Herm Edwards. He might be old, but he proved doubters wrong once. The only reason teams dont want him isnt because he's too old, its because he costs too much. But Herm made a good decision with him last year, and he played secondary for the Eagles, so I'm thinking he knows what he's doing.

I like Art's look on things.... Ain't no rebuilding year. We gone get things turned around in one year.

Ty Law is a good corner if he's in zone coverage. He's a smart player and his awareness is very high. If the Chiefs plan on playing a lot of zone coverage then he should fit. If they plan on blitzing and playing a lot of man to man coverage.... Ty Law is going to get hit up by the Raiders. There's no way he or Surtain can hang with Randy Moss one on one in man coverage. We'll see what happens.

I wouldn't be concerned either if I was a Bronco fan.... y'all usually smash the Chiefs anyway.

But overall.... K.C.'s secondary is slow. Sammy Knight, Ty Law, etc... smart players but they can't cover anyone in man coverage. The Raider DB's are fast. If Art can get them to play smart it's going to be on. The Raiders can play what they want because they have speed in the secondary. I think the Chiefs are going to come in last in the AFC West. The Chargers will come in third and the Raiders and Broncos will battle for first. Here's my prediction in the AFC West:
Raiders 1st
Broncos 2nd
Chargers 3rd
Chiefs 4th

I don't think it's horrible because all teams start out 0-0. Even the Niners have a good chance of winning their division.

The Raiders have a new head coach and QB. This isn't the Norv Turner/Collins show anymore.... so winning the division is realistic. Everyone on that Raiders team believes they have what it takes to win the SuperBowl so why can't the fans believe too?
