I am trying to go HARD this summer. I have been pushin' real hard for 25 Weeks and my projects are doing good. I am almost sold out in every Record Store in the BAY AREA. (BAY sales aren't dead, take it to the streets)

I do though have two artists of which I have put "A LOT" of money into and we are trying to get their cds moving. They are M-Finiti (formerly Moose from Bad Boy Entertainment) and Pittsburg California Artist Damien.

Damien "UP N SMOKE" features production from Powa House whom is a part of Mike Marshalls' group T.H.C., It is a well put together debut project from a dope Pittsburg artist.

M-Finiti "Now Or Never" was put together when the artist was showcasing for Bad Boy Entertainment. It is a well put together project. Top Industry Production from the likes of Playbook Music (The Grind Family and No Limit Records) and others. The album features DJ KAY SLAY and his artist Hoss. Perfect Recording and Mixing on this cd as it was done with a Major Label Budget, before the artist came to my Label.

Like I said I put "A LOT" of money into the Projects (Promotions, Radio Commercials on the M-Finiti project), Magazine Ads, Pressing the Cds, 1-Sheets, Posters, Flyers, Samplers and Ect) and if the artists themselves ain't going to go HARD to promote themselves then I am to re-coup my money. I GOT MOUTHS TO FEED.

Thank You for your support.

you should have gotten shemp, or at least i don't know, maybe a GRAPHIC DESIGNER!! to design your ALBUM COVER if you are actually trying to sell a project and not give it away for free, i would be willing to bet that only 2-5 out of 100 people on the street would even take that album for FREE with that bad of a cover.....if you wanna sell more then 100 copies you should INVEST in the MOST IMPORTANT part of an album when it comes to "pushing units" which is the album cover...that really will make or break your project....

I leave all aspects of the projects up to the artists, I don't want creative control of over how their project looks and how they portray themselves to the public they are GROWN men and they choose their own decisions in life. I am just the man with the money and so I Executive Produced the projects. If they wanted to do the covers themselves it would of been fine with me, as long they bare their souls on the cd and their lyrics showed that fact.

did you or did you not say you were trying to recoup your money?? have you not been in the business long enough to realize the direct effect that an album cover has on sales? as you said you are the executive producer and you want to let the artist be the artist....the artist does not neccesarily know or has too much pride to care about the business half of the project...that is executive producers job, if you ignore that half along the way it is already too late....learn from your mistakes, chalk up the money you lost, and either give up or try doing things differently next time around.....good luck!

My personal albums "NEVER" sported what you would call quality covers from lets say a SHEMP, and I own 2 Houses, A piece of Property and make a living soley from the music industry so I have to disagree about your heavy position on how much a cover means to the buying public (think I am lying ask C-4). In the day and age of Digital Downloads artwork is going to mean even less. Kids 10-17 don't care about artwork anymore on a large scale. I have cousins 7-13 that have NEVER EVEN OWNED A CD.

We are going to get these units to move through HARD WORK. I am getting out and grinding. What I have done my entire life. It was brought to my attention that you can promote on the siccness and reach a larger scale so that is what I am doing. It has worked. I have moved a few Damien cds as a direct result of this post (wish I could say the same for M-Finiti), so thanks for your remarks and you wishing me good luck. I AM "BLESS", luck never plays a part.
