that's why I said it depends on your criteria. The thread is "King of Sac" not "Who's the rap king of sac". I'm 30yrs old, I have all the albums on TAPE.

When I was video taping OG Badmouth, He had an article saying Homicide and him were one of the first rappers outta sac. This was the Sac B sayin it. Also OG Badmouth had one of the first mixtapes outta Sac too.. ask anyone from that era about "Let the Park Hit em".

Even with that, alot of those guys havent dropped recent stuff except Gas Station. Even homicide (which I gotta meet up with and interview).
I havent heard anything from Gangsta Dre recently.. I wish dude would drop some shit.
As for other kats, "King of the Block", Young Jayda, I met him a few months ago and interviewed him.

Now, I feel that their accomplishments should not be forgotten or put down.. so dont think I'm taking that away.

I bump Gangsta Dre, Young Jayda, Riders and Bosses, The plantation, Troubled Minds weekly.

These guys made classics, so I think its safe to say they are legends for Sac rap. I'm originally not from Cali, so where I'm from, we didnt get every Sac album. I found about Gangsta Dre and Young Jayda a couple years after their album was released...

With said, My idea (In my mind and musically) of a King is someone still doing things and still around. I would say Brotha Lynch Hung. He got his own camp as well.

So lynch still makes music? Does he ever perform in sac? I would be down to hit his concert but in sac you barely ever see lynch's name on a bill

Then I guess he's NOT A KING!!! HAHAHA. He released gas station and is signed to Tech's label.. but well. you got a valid point.

On the other hand, A couple months back, JDK, Mally Mall, Doey Rock and Sick Fam performed and it was dope.

even tho Homicide was the first rapper from Sac to release an album,X-Raided was the first rapper from Sac to go nation wide.i would consider X as one of the kingz of Sac, Homicide hasnt released as much quality shit as X-Raided,C-Bo & Lynch.

I'm going with C-BO, Lynch, Then X-Raided! C-Bo due to the fact that he was killing from every angle street cred, slapz that would bang from shoot em up to grooving on a Sunday, and nationwide exposure( C mon Tupac recognized that nigga and threw him on all eyez on me) Lynch would be next due to the fact he only had 2 classics season and loaded and loaded by far is one of the best albums outta sac and probably will be forever but he stopped coming with that siccmade formula! He shoulda pushed tha swartzaniggaz way more and kept phonk beta on all production. X-Raided is 3rd only due to the fact that he's locked up and and cant reach his full potential. But if he woulda kept his locced out psycho active formula he coulda been number 1!
