How many of y'all ever been on trial? How did it turn out for you?


Most people cop a plea deal.


I just went to bench trial with a judge who is a former prosecutor over a fight with my brother.


We all went out drinking for my birthday, and at the end of the night he tried to attack me. Essentially, I "beat him to the punch". Fucked up night, he tried to hit me... but I got him first. I ended up going to jail over night for the shit, and he went to the hospital with a broken jaw.


After about two hours of testimony, the judge declared there was not enough evidence to support his claim of assault. It was really self defense. Though she ruled in my favor, she told everybody straight up "If I were to go off of who I thought was telling the truth, I'd have ruled in your favor" *points at my brother*.

Which is fucked up in and of itself, because he didn't even remember going to the first two bars we hit that night. Only the last one. The entire story is long, a bit complicated, so I won't get into too much detail right now. But he wanted me prosecuted, which he FAILED to do.

So I figured I'd ask who else on here has been to trial, and how it played out.

I've been charged with assault and battery several times. It happens. I plead guilty every time because I would have been found guilty anyway.

By the way, your brother must be the biggest bitch on the planet to be getting punked and broken off by a little scrawny ass sissy-looking Backstreet Boy reject like you. I swear I think I could stand there and let you haul off on me and you would probably hurt yourself more than you hurt me.

Your story sounds like a load of bullshit anyway.

All I did was ask a question as it pertained to a situation I just cleared up. See what kind of legal drama other folks got into.

Far as my brother being a 'bitch'... the dude is 6'2, 210lbs and military trained. Simple fact is he didn't finish first in the race he started, and it ended bad for both of us.

Don't forget Bruce Lee was 5'7 and 130lbs. Not comparing myself to him, just keep in mind: Size and skill are two different things.

I'm pretty sure the whole "your brother is a bitch" statement was because he brought you to court over a fight and then went as far as to testify against you during the trial.

I don't care if your brother killed 200 people during combat that is some bitch made shit to do right there, especially to family.

I know blood is thicker than water, but if my brother pressed charges on me for assault, for something he started, then took it all the way to a trial, thats some bitch made shit imo. I dont care who he is or what he has done, because pressing charges on your fam for that bullshit voids any credible shit he has ever done in life imo.
I also find it kind of suspect that you would post this tale like its cool. So you are ok with your brother pressing charges and taking you to trial? thats what it seems like to me. "oh yeah my brother pressed charges and I coulda went to jail for assault for about a year, but its ok."
