It's cool that it's a real album but my point is that rappers should focus on putting out only real albums and not add rushed underground albums in between their real albums. What's the point of putting out every single bar you can possibly make without having a just a little critical view on your work? Or are so many rappers having so high thoughts about themselves that they think that everything I say on wax is like delivered from God and needs to be heard?

If you have'nt been with Trae for a while then you would'nt understand. EVERYTHING hes dropped is classic.
I'm talking about:
Trae Losing Composure
Trae Same Thing Different Day
Trae Drama
Trae Later Dayz
Trae Restless
Trae Tha Truth Show

While I agree some of the beats were'nt as good as they used to be the ones by Q-Stone always are good. He does talk about the same stuff but hell doesnt every rapper eventually fall into that patttern. He is one of the best from Texas.

HAHA. finally a nobel prize in rhyme candidate came through and used Blowjob instead of Flowjob. I've been on this board for four years and this is the first time someone has done that. In fact, when I started using this name I wondered how long it would take before someone would give me "blowjob". Haha, I hope you're proud of that.

Why is it so hard for you kids to understand when someone is questioning your idol? Like I said, I've been following Trae since the early Guerilla Maab days and I have bought every single release of his. Yes I used Trae as an example but my points are directed to many down south rappers, even rappers in general. Rappers today are releasing too much material without being self-critical. Too much half-assed tracks with recycled lyrical topics are released. I feel Trae is on the verge of becoming one of those rappers that release too much material and mean that he should focus more on one slamming classic album instead of jumping on all kinds of side projects and underground releases. If I hurt your feelings with this opinion I am sorry and wish you all the best and hope I did not interrupt your jerking off to all your Trae posters.

Well ,the fact is I've been following Trae since Guerrilla Maab dropped Rise. I love Losing Composure and Same Thing and most tracks on restless. I feel like I am in position to give qualified arguments. However, I am getting bored with rappers constantly talking about the same stuff. I need some food for thought, not just my speakers. This does not singularily apply to Trae, it's about rappers in general nowadays. and I've been into Houston rap since 89 so please don't come up with some "you wouldn't understand", LOL

yeah, Trae does go hard. I think his beats are a little recycled as of late though. Track listing goes hard but where is the SUC at? UGK? CCC (members anyway)? SPC?

I know it says ABN gang, but from what I know and what I've seen, Z ro don't ever do his features like that. Its always Z ro on the traclisting. No G maab or ABN or whatever else. Wonder if he's on this one. It'd be a shame to not have him on a track.

Trae's throwed, but he does need to stop sounding repetitive. I thought Restless was his worst album (don't get me wrong, i can still listen to it) but the man does have good talent. I hope this next album is what I want to hear.

Well, the last time I checked this forum it was a discussion forum and not a groupie kiss-ass forum. This thread is about the new Trae album and I brought up an issue that concerns me a lot on rap in general, not just Trae. Judging from the response it seems like other persons also share my view although there are some individuals here like you which obviously are incapable of giving arguments opposing my view and instead relies on mindless and funny punchlines to compensate for lack of arguments. I feel that one album a year from one artist is the maximum most artists in general should release because the quality decreases. There might be exceptions to this, but in 2007 where the market is filled with mixtapes, features, bootlegs, underground albums and real albums it might just be too much.

And I guess I won't stop listening to rap because I care way too much about hiphop in general. So I guess I'll be putting up critical points about your favorite rapper in the future as well.

Trae do need some tighter beats. On them S.L.A.B. cd's they kill every track. NEED TO HEAR MORE FROM LIL BOSS AND JAYTON WHEN HE GET OUT. Trae a real cool cat though and I wish him the best. I don't know if he is gonna get there with rap-a-lot though, might need to branch out and see what else is out there. Z-Ro's last few cd's disapointed me. I know some of them might not be offical releases, but still.... LIFE OF JOSEPH W. McVEY has to be on of the most well rounded cd's I've ever heard. That shit is classic in my opinion. I STILL SUPPORT RO THOUGH, CUZ HE SPIT THAT REAL SHIT. I'm really waiting on that Tumzilla album.

WOW:cool:  you sure showed me, you get mad cool points from me
Mr.Blowjob. Why don't you hit up Trae's myspace www.myspace.com/traethatruth and tell him to stop dropping albums/mixtapes? I'm sure he will listen to your opinion. If your bored stop listening to everything that comes out. Why don't you just take a break from hip-hop and come back in a year or so."Niggas always complain" jus stop downloading/buying the niggas CD's dumb ass

or another suggestion would be to go back to the underground scene. There is still plenty of talent out there to listen to. I'm not saying stop listening to Trae, but if you really are bored with it, there are other people on the underground scene that are tight as hell. When everyone hits mainstream, it usually starts to suck. But at that point, alot of cats realize that this is there business and they put out what they think people want to hear. And when they get the attention of the crowd, they run with it. Money is money and thats what its all about.

I like his covers alot though in my opinion. Mike Frost does alot of stuff for people in the H. He works real hard with Trae on these but this is just what Trae likes. I really feel them though.

R u sure hes out yet? I heard he still in there.
Shit, if he's out, thats some good news.....

Production wise, in my opinion, has gotten better thru each of Trae's albums... the beats off Rise or Ressurected were dope, but they don't compare to the quality of his new shit...

My favorite was Losin Composure...

I wish he'd hook back up with Russell Lee...

"Southside" and "Doin My Thang" were unbelievably clean tracks

I understand that opinions will be different but I don't understand how yall can say that TRAE doesn't come through like he should. RESTLESS, STDD, & LOSING COMPOSURE are all certified. TRAE was in that JIM JONES remix video with PUFFY, TI, YOUNG DRO, etc... If any underground artist is working hard to keep rapping and staying off the streets and out of jail it's got to be TRAE.
