I wish he could take his time to do a "real" album and not flooding the market with all these underground albums every second month. He's not so versatile that he can drop tons of albums and still keep my attention. His beats on the last underground album were weak as well. This applies to most rappers in 2007, focus on quality instead of quantity. I'm tired of hearing rappers drop lines like "20 albums deep, bitch" when you know 2/3 of them are weak underground albums and mixtapes and on top of that, half of them are screwed versions. then again, Trae might prove me wrong on his next underground, but I have my doubts. I'm wishing for it to be dope, though because I know I will buy it as soon as it is released

He needs some exposure, badly.....and this sounds like this is gonna be the album where that could happen, if Rap-A-Lot promotes it this time

Personally the things that he drops on G-Maab are all classics. Losing Composure was an amazing album and so was Same Thing Different Day. Restless was also real good. Later days and drama were some good mixtapes and so was Tha truth show. Im looking forward to this one.

everything Trae spits on shines. dude never comes with a wack album or mixtape
when a rapper is releasing at least one mixtape a year in addition to numerous collaboration projects every year, don't tell me that he shines on every single track he puts out. Trae has not released any totally wack albums but he doesn't renew himself either. It gets boring and to be honest I think the beats on his latest undergrounds from g-maab are weak. some quality beats but over all his tracks sound the same. Don't get me wrong, I love his old stuff from guerrilla maab and his three first albums up to same thing different day. but he started to repeat himself after that. same topics all over again... and again. It's a shame that RAL doesn't promote him like he should have been but then again, they don't promote any of their artists, so lack of promotion shouldn't be a surprise at anybody. Rap-a-lot was the shit back in the days, but besides distribution and access to quality producers like Mr Lee and Mike Dean I can't think of any other reasons why anyone should get with rap-a-lot in 2007. At least don't be surprised that your CD ain't being promoted because that is common knowledge. Hell, he should just have looked at Z-ro's albums on RAL for a prime example of no promo at all.

Aint no one fuckin with Trae's flow. period....
That Last Dayz mixtape was a classic.....
I agree with Flowjob thou,
I think that Trea just need some tighter beats....
Z-Ro has done it album after album...

Id love to hear a whole CD produced by Mike Dean with some Tanya Heron on the hook.

I agree with Inchez on Trae's flow. He's got one of the most distinct flows nowadays and it's always cool to hear him on good beats. I co-sign on an album with all mike dean beats. would love to hear him on NO Joe and Mike B beats as well.

It's cool that it's a real album but my point is that rappers should focus on putting out only real albums and not add rushed underground albums in between their real albums. What's the point of putting out every single bar you can possibly make without having a just a little critical view on your work? Or are so many rappers having so high thoughts about themselves that they think that everything I say on wax is like delivered from God and needs to be heard?
