I went to the one in Stonestown yesterday in Frisco. 10% off all CDs (I think all Towers are starting at that point first) and 30% off 'zines. Not nearly enough to start spending yet. FWIW, the CompUSA store downstairs is also going OOB after it replaced the Good Guys franchise that shut down.

Leopold's, Wherehouse, Sam Goody's, Musicland, Tower... all gone. Only big chains left are Virgin Megastore and FYE. None are gonna be in Baghdad-By-The-Bay. It's all about the indies... Streetlight, Rasputin's, Amoeba.

FUCK TOWER! I went by the one in sherman oaks and really gave em' a chance but shit is toooooo expensive. it was a tuesday and lonely as hell in there.

FUCK THE MUSIC INDUSTRY for supporting bullshit artists and killing all music genres for that quick buck, that's what they get.

I remember a couple of years ago a Wherehouse shut down in the mall. Now there are no music stores in the mall, and this is the mall that EVERYONE in the Inland Empire goes to. I got about 20 bay area CDs for $50, all brand new, like Mac Dre- Thizzle Washington. It was still sealed at 80% off and I got it for about $2. So I'll hit up Tower, too.

All CDs & DVDs, whatever the fuck, 10% off, all vinyl 10% off,all electronics 10% off, & magazines 30% off!!! What a fuckin joke!! A fuckin rip off right there!!! Geeez, no wonder they went bankrupt; that just arent that reasonable with the merch prices... Good luck making some sales!!...
...& goodbye Tower!!...

YEAH THAT'S USUALLY HOW LIQUIDATION SALES GO. THEY START OFF AT 10% OFF AND USUALLY GO UP IN PERCENTAGE AS THE WEEKS GO BY. WHEN ALL THE GOOD STUFF IS GONE AND ONLY THE SHIT THAT PEOPLE DON'T USUALLY BUY ARE LEFT, THAT'S WHEN THEY ADVERTISE AT 50-60%. IF U WAIT TOO LONG THOUGH, THERE MIGHT NOT BE ANYTHING GOOD LEFT.

Hell naw I aint gonna wait too long!!! I probly gonna start coppin sum cds startin Friday & then keep checkin if they would raise the percentages a lil bit... It's just a matter of time...... But what I'm kinda concerned is that what if they only can stick with the 10% off liquidation sales throughout the whole period until if they dont sell much they just eventually close the store & then just take off along with their shitloads of stuff??????
If that occurs, then they're no doubt the worst music/entertainment franchise
EVER!!!!!! I reely reely hope they dont just leave it like that, cuz that would be sooo fucked up!!! I wanna enjoy shopping for a huge sh!tload of cds & dvds, ya feel me??????

That won't happen. They are going to want to get rid of as much stuff as they can and make as much money as they can. What makes more money? Selling a CD for $5 or not selling it? Believe me, they will do whatever they can to sell everything.

I WAS THINKING THE SAME THING. CUZ THEY DO HAVE SOME RARE/HARD TO FIND SHIT THERE. AND THESE DAYS, FINDING A RECORD STORE IS BECOMING RARE. BUT THEN AGAIN, U CAN FIND ALMOST ANYTHING ON THE INTERNET NOW AND FOR A GOOD PRICE.
