the buyer who bought them out is a liquidator and has announced the official closing.........again this means the a growing trend of the downward spiral of the music game of how we once knew it.So all part time rappers can go get there 9-5...and those that are still passionate about there craft need to come up with a plan..

^^ I feel ya there. I pay the $10 on a new release week if it's advertised at BB or CC, but anything more expensive I just wait til it rolls around on eBay.

THE MUSIC INDUSTRY IS GOING DIGITAL!!! SO YA BETTER STEP YA COMPUTER GAME UP!!! INTERNET IS WHERE MOST OF THE MUSIC IS BEING BOUGHT... If you look at the soundscans, you'll see that album sales are down but Digital Music is being sold by the millions... So if you do have a plan, it better be geared towards the DIGITAL WORLD...

So is Tower Records going to be having a liquidation sale at the stores and/or online?

I remember going to the Wherehouse and being able to get basically any CD used. They used to have a separate section for used CDs. But since not that many people buy CDs anymore, they just mix them in with the new ones. I never find used CDs at the Wherehouse because IF they do have any, it's usually 50 Cent or Nelly. I'm not paying $20 for a new CD. It sucks, but people are too cheap to buy a CD or they just want that one song being played on the radio constantly and they download that one song. Nobody has any passion for supporting an artist, they just want the one song.

The ability to download any song you want to off the net hurt the industry major.especially hip hop, a lot of the albums nowadays (not the underground) have 1 to 3 good songs on 'em, and hey who's gonna pay that money for just those songs.People walk to their comp, type in the name of that song and boom, there goes record sales down the drain

The music industry is going a strange route. That's why I don't fuck with this Ipod downloading shit. I keeps it throwback. Strictly tapes and cd's on mines. Real spitamajig my nigg. Seriously though, I think the internet is fucking things up.
