Ive never been able to come up with a top 5 because there's been too many dope rappers over time.
But I'll try to make one and then I might have to come back later and change it. So here goes

1.Tupac
2.Ghostface Killah
3.Nas
4.Big L
5.Hitman(RBL Possee)

HOW YOU KNOW THAT????
How did you not know that? Snoop wrote his rhymes back in the 1990's and after Snoop left Eminem took over ghost writing. I am sure he has input and approves the rhymes...but he doesn't write them on his own.

This is common knowledge...look it up.

ALL of his stuff isn't ghostwritten...I'd say about 30 % of it is...look at the credits man.

Alot of ghostwriters don't get credits for what they write. The rapper pays the ghostwriter for the lyrics so that he can put them down as his own. Alot more "big name" rappers have ghostwriters than you would think.

And I know all of his stuff isn't ghostwritten...but I would say it is closer to the opposite of what you say. About 20-30% is written by Dre.

they are called "ghost" writers for a reason. they arent supposed to be seen. if they were in all the credits they would just be plain writers

Ok thanks for the lesson...

In Dre's case they WOULD be CO-WRITERS...a ghostwriter is someone who is paid to write for an artist without written credentials...

And in Dre's case his CO-WRITERS names almost always get their name right alongside Dre in the credits. Look it up.

i heard jay-z does some ghost writin for dr dre, if you pay attention to a lot of dre's songs, im not sayin its true, but the delivery of the flows sounds like jay-z's. like in the song "forgot about dre" listen to dre's first verse, his delivery on that is identical to jay-z's. not to hate on dre but that flow was to sicc for him to come up on his own. but from what i heard, could be a lie, but i heard jay-z writes dre flows and dre hooks him up with beats, but ya know how rumours go. on a real tip though peep out chronic 2001, and if you're a jay-z fan you'll be able to point that shit out.
