No you don't tip at fast food places, only places where they serve you at your table.
Yup. With me, it depends on the attitude of my server. If they're cool and don't slack off, I give them some kind of tip.

But if I see them chit-chatting w/ other customers (in a way where it's obvious that it's social and not business), or cleaning tables while my food's been sitting under the heat lamp for more than five minutes (Denny's and IHOP are notorious for this), no tip. My philosophy is, "customer service first, cleaning tables and folding napkins last." If you've got food to serve that's just come up from the kitchen, the table cleaning can wait a minute or two. Serve the customers first, THEN clean the tables or fold napkins...

PEACE!

I tip from 15-30% and sometimes a lot more depending on the situation (ie. I buy a beer for $2.50, I'll give a $1 tip)

I hope all the non-tippers and the below 15% people are under the age of 16 cuz if not You guys are cheap asses.

to me, tipping is part of the bill. If the bill is $30, Id leave $35. Thats how waiters make a living, they put up with a lot of bullshit, from managers fucking them outta thier tips to cheap bastards not leaving anything. Whats a couple of dollars outta your pocket? Esppecially when waiters are only getting paid minimum wage...

Waiters don't get minimum wage..... my wages were $3.50/hour but obviously I made a lot more than that. If you ever worked in the service industry you realize how nice it is to get an extra dollar in your pocket for a job well done.

I'd leave work in a full sweat.... and if I ever see someone working extra hard to make my meal an enjoyable night out, I tip big. If you see that and don't tip, you're a cheap ass.
