I used to pick up people from labor ready. Out here, almost all of them, they were the biggest drunks and dope heads. We all hated working with them. I got screwed on jobs by idiots who would pass out from not having drugs lol. Passed out in the street, in the middle of hanging fiber optic cable! I always tried to get there early and get the ones who were pretty good workers. We paid them $10 an hour and I think got paid cash at the end of every day minus the labor ready deduction and taxes. The garbage truck companies paid the most, i think over $16/hr. Its a good deal if you like to have variety. I bet you can learn a lot by working there for sure and get you some more skills for the future or resumes or whatever. Just watch for the bad apples cause out here they stole stuff from our company.
Few years ago When meth was heavy in my circle of friends labor ready was their goldmine. 6am arrival, and 8am working. Theyd get payed 60 at the end of each day for 6 hours of work.
Sometimes transportation was provided, sometimes it wasnt..
Their 1st job was shoveling shit out of the way. Think it was for building roads. But theyd come back dead tired. Mostly cuz theyre fuckin zombified and need some dope in their system. lol.
Theyre 2nd job was easy street. Steady work. Theyd work as those folks in costco giving out the free samples. Christmas chocolates. They also had to giftwrap the little boxes and add a lil bow for customers who asked - free of charge....

ive talked to alot of people on the light rail in the morning that are going to labor ready, and 99% of em was just goin to get sum quick money for a sack or sum beer...i think one homeless dude told me, he got paid just enough for his drugs, beer, cigarttes, and bus money to get there the next day...
it all depends on what the job is. but its paid at the end of the day. Is it worth it? It is if you need extra cash.
I relied on Labor Ready when I first moved and wanted money to have ASAP.
Since I have a full time job now, I dont need to work Labor Ready or temp agency jobs, but I still do just to keep that relationship open.
Alot of people that want quick cash for drinking or bums are not common, but from what I've seen, alot of them give up on certain jobs when they cant handle it. So when you go there and out perform most of the people from Labor Ready, who do you think they would give the good jobs to?

out of all the temp agencies ive been to during my 7 years of having a record (i've been to alot), i have to say apple one was the best and most professional. but youre paid weekly, not daily.
the best advice to getting good jobs is, try not to quit any. if it initially sounds liek a shitty job, either don't take it if you think youre gonna quit, or finish it and then advise them that youd kindly not like that type of job again.
if you can type fast , youll get good jobs.
and also if you get a woman representative, talk her up/sweet talk her as much as you can and make your presence known and she'll help you out alot more, some will even lie for you to get you a good job as a way of looking out for you.

TAKE ANY JOB, INCLUDING DIGGING TRENCHES ETC AND THEY WILL RESPECT YOU AND JOOG YOU WITH JOBS, BUT YOU GOTTA DO ANYTHING!!!! THATS BASICALLY HOW IT WORK.... I got a question for people who have worked a lot of temp jobs (not necessarily talkin bout labor ready)
when you get laid off a temp job... can you collect unemployment
I used to think I couldn't... but then I heard I could... and if I do... can I still collect if my temp agency offers me another job? and I decide I dont want it... either because it wont work with my school schedule, or its too far, or just flat out don't wanna do it... or whatever....
I had one other temp job... but it was only for like a week or 2... and I had another steady part time job at the time... so I wasnt even thinkin bout unemployment
but this job has been my full time job for almost 2 years

i was at labor ready for 2 years one of the lowest jobs ive ever had,what sucks is u got all these drug addicts and alcoholics working with u and its like first come first serve theres a sign in sheet whoevers signs in first gets called to a job first like if theres 30 heads there about 15 will get called to a job which sucks,another thing is to your like a slave if a truck of sodas spills on the highway they gonna call labor ready to send people to clean it up they basically use you for some fucked up jobs then kick you to the curb..
