Once you understand what natural law is, and the point Jefferson is making in the first paragraph (which is understood by research, not by just simply reading it, Jefferson is an advanced philosopher, not a simple mind like our current president), the pursuit of happiness could be directly described as the PEOPLES right to dictate what the government does (not the governments right to dictate what the people do).
So pursuing happiness at its simple form could be just voting, but furthermore taking a stand IE PROTEST, in order to make the government run to serve the people. So by getting on here and slamming people for protesting, or the way our rigged election system is working, you are effectively DENYING the persuit of happiness. Lets see how Jefferson feels about this...

We come on here and "complain" about our government because it serves little representation and is ran from the top down, we are doing EXACTLY what our founding fathers were doing. You on the other hand are what they fought against. Now tell me, who is the REAL american?
