Tony, thanks for puttin this thread up man. I don't think I know you, but I'm glad you are payin respect to my young homie. It's crazy that you directed this post towards Mac & A.K., I just left his house and I handed a condolence card to his dad and told his dad that his family is in our prayers and bounced out after that cause my kids was wit me. I didn't make a thread about Bookie cause I know if you aint from EPA you might not have known who he was unless you went to school with him or somethin like that. Everybody know Mac & A.K. is from a section of EPA called Flooda, and Bookie was born and raised in the same section we come from. When I got the news last Monday he got shot, I couldn't believe it til I saw the coroner roll his body out of his own garage, and even still I couldn't believe it. Bookie's untimely death has been the only thing on my mind and it's gonna haunt me for a long time to come. We still torn up about this cause he was our lil homie since we was kids. I didn't go to the wake on thursday (I just couldn't do it twice, his face would ahve haunted me the whole night), but I paid my respect at the Funeral today, and it was like an old school EPA reunion so many people came out to show love. The church was so packed wit people, alot of folks had to wait outside until the parting view. It was hardly any room to even stand.
Like Tony said, Bookie was a solid cat. A real stand up dude that the whole community loved. He was one of the most humble dudes I ever met. He got love from everybody, the thugs, the squares, the regular joes, the ladies. I mean he was a magnet, and because of this loss, Flooda State is hurtin, but more importantly the whole town is heart broken that such a dude could be targeted and killed on his fuckin day off from work. The coldest part about this aint that his moms and pops lost their son, but even colder than that, he has a baby girl on the way in a few months who will never meet her dad, plus his beautiful daughter Jadah are both gonna have to grow up in this world with out their dad.
Me personally, I'm broke up about this shit, angry and frustrated at how dudes like Bookie, who carry them selves with the utmost respect, and don't be causin problems wit nobody, yet end up victims of jealousy, hatred. I put it in God hands, and today at the funeral when I finally got my chance to view him in that casket, I put my hand on the casket, and leaned over next to his ear, and whispered to him that I loved him, and that Flooda got love for him. So R.I.P. to my nigga Bookie, you will be sorely missed, and Tony, I can't speak for the whole town, but Mac & A.K. will be knockin out a song for Bookie on the new album. The shit is personal for us.
P.S.
I also want to give my love to my nigga Freddy Kidd, who unfortunately had to witness the homie get shot and die right in front of his face. He is still broken up over this, and I ask that your prayers go with him because he is completely in shock, and feel this is his fault. Pray for him, The Bottley family, and all Bookies loved ones.
