IWASNT TALKIN ABOUT GETTING PAID PERSAY. WHUT IM SAYIN IS WHEN IT ME AN ONE OTHER PERSON COVERING AN ENTIRE STATE. GETTING INTO A SHOW WHEN YOUR TOLD YOUR ON THE LIST AND THEN GETTIN TO WILL CALL AN THATS NOT THE CASE MOST OF THESE ISSUES CAME WHEN HAWKE WAS DOIN IT. LIKE I SAID IM NOT BITCHIN ABOUT GETTIN PAID ITS WHEN WE HAVE TO DRIVE DAMN NEAR OUR WHOLE STATE TO GET IT PROMOTED AND WE ARE USING OUR GAS MONEY AND ALOT OF OUR TIME. I WAS REALLY ONLY LOOKIN FOR MAYBE A SMALL GAS BUDGET OR GETTING INTO THE SHOW MEET AN GREET SINCE WE ARE HELPING BRING PEOPLE IN. I WILL ALWYAS HAVE LOVE FOR STRANGE. IM JUST FRUSTERATED THAT IT SEEMS THAT WE ARE NOW CONSIDERED MORE CUSTOMERS THAN APPRECIATED FANS THATS ALL IM SAYIN
I am still tryin to get some street team shit sent out my way.... i talked to some people in the past, who are now prob gone, and never got any results from any of that shit. I still depend on other people to get the materials I need, and I'm sick of doin shit that way. If I just had the materials I needed sent to me then I would make sure shit gets done correct.... but, I'm sure there's plenty of people out there sayin tha same shit as me and not even tryin....

yeah a lil help on the gas would be nice AND AGAIN iwill forever bump strange music because its quality shit but the street team thing should be somethin fun u enjoy doin an HAWKE fucked that shit up made it seem corrupt to me I STILL GOT NOTHIN BUT LOVE FOR STRANGE i just dont think street teamin is for me any more

Nobody's forcing you to do anything. If you are having trouble affording gas, then find other people in the state that can help. Meet up with them and have them do area's of the state they may know better then you. Otherwise, stop promoting. Theres always other people willing to do it that will do it with no complaints.
I never "street teamed" but I know lots of underground cats that send me a bunch of promo CD's just to pass around to everyone I know thats down with hip hop.. So I guess thats somewhat street teamin but Im not gonna drive all over the map hangin posters n shit.. I take the promo shit where I go and spread it to people that look like they might be a tad bit interested,, But ill never drive out of my way..
If your treated like an employee of the company you should be paid point blank. If they tell you to be at the office at a certain time to pick up materials and then have scheduled neighborhoods for you to hit throughout the day you need to be paid... labels try to claim that having ppl do this as "street teamers" doesnt constitute payment, but if you look at it like any job you should be paid. Not paying someone to hit neighborhoods with posters and flyers is like pizza hut refusing to pay its drivers to drop of pizzas at a house....
