pretty cool thread. i just noticed it.

nirvana- nevermid ... although its not my favorite nirvana album, it was the one that kicked in the door for a ton of the music i love.

pennywise- unkown road ... the album that got me 100% into punk. when i was like 13 i got it and then began getting into more punk stuff.

smashing pumpkins- siamese dream ... great album. great songs. billy corgan writes some of the best lyrics ever.

I'm not sure how well these define my generation (especially drudkh lol) but they're my favorites at the moment.
