thascary 1... man you don't think. The Raiders passed on Leinart and Cutler in last years draft... A few years ago they passed on Big Ben and Phillip Rivers to select Robert Gallery. Common sense should tell you that they will not do that again.... Think for a minute...

You've got good points but LSU is in the SEC. And from what I hear, the SEC maybe the toughest conference in college football or one of the toughest. Quinn does have the experience over Russell. I think both will be good qb's. But once developed, I think Russell could turn out to be the better pro.

Cleveland should snatch Quinn with the 3rd pick if they want to contend in the future.
yea thats what is saidbout the sec but i really dont believe that again its an east coast bias thats leavin out the big 12 big 10 and pac 10 and also the acc what they should do is create a super conference have the top 12 or 14 teams with a winning past and put them in one conference like ohio state texas usc michigan nebraska oklahoma florida state miami florida vt penn state alabama auburn i gotta put cal in it cuz they are my fav team and tedford is doin great things. And have all them play one another i would love to see all of them go at it

^Yep (I use common sense all the time).... and that's why the Raiders are in contract negotations as we speak...

And I thought you said I was "almost" alone in wanting the Raiders to get a qb with the first pick. Looks like I am not alone after all huh.....

no I said all alone in Russell!

I am telling you, I said it 3 months ago and I will say it now 2 days before draft.

The raiders need o-line help and BAD. Maybe you don't want them to pick it #1, but like I said 3 months ago...TRADE DOWN!!!!! GEt some more day 1 picks and bolster the offense with a litter of day 1 picks.

But thats too much common sense I guess!

Naaaa that's not too much common sense. We all know the Raiders need help on that o-line but they've addressed that issue so far with a few free agent pickups and new coaches implementing that zone blocking scheme. They may still upgrade through the draft... but they needed to upgrade their qb situation too and with the number one pick it's there for the taking!

I am just saying the Raiders don't need to TRADE DOWN to address their offensive line.

they don't have to trade down to address JUST the o-line, they can get a couple or 3 more day 1 picks and they can address o-line, te and qb all on day 1

^LOL yep sure is.

That's why the Raiders will take JaMarcus Russell with the first pick in the draft. Just watch Saturday morning as Tony's prediction comes true...as some of you will continue to bash Russell or the Raiders for selecting him with the first pick in the draft.

A question to all the OG Raider fans... when was the last time the Raiders drafted a qb with the "potential" to be a franchise qb?

Boy it feels good to be a Raider fan. Last season when I went to the Raider image store at that mall in Newark... I bought a few Raider T- Shirts and guess what the tag said? "Welcome to the Raider Nation"

haha.... great timing!
