Yes, I believe he is the king of the south, although it may be by default. With Scarface saying he doesn't want the crown, and giving his 'blessing', so to speak...

But really it's all based on personal opinion. Some of the comments were just plain dumb...like since TI only had 2 good songs on his album (his opinion), he couldn't be the king. I could name more than 2 songs that were quality, but again...it's a matter of opinion.

I think if RAPPERS don't think TI is the king, they should do something about it. WE, as fans, don't matter in the equation. WE don't have a say in it. WE are, ultimately, just fans...

blah blah blah...

saying that there was only 2 good songs on TI's last album is "ludacris"....IMO there was only 2 weak songs, and one of them is being played on radio/video right now.....if you wanna go album sale-wise, it has to go to outkast...what other group or solo artist has gone multi platinum with EVERY SINGLE ALBUM THEY PUT OUT? they're coming out with another album, and I'll bet it goes at least double platinum....if it wasn't them, it'd be face, but he only has the clout, not really the classic albums that it takes...I'd say diary was one of the best rap albums ever put out, but I can't say much about any other solo release by face....ugk crowned themselves long ago, and they have a better track record then TI...same with ludacris....he's put out way more successful albums than ti, although ti is progressively putting out more successful shit....lil flip may have come up and made his name in the underground, but all his commercial shit is GARBAGE

I don't know i'd have to hear his latest album before I make a decision, his last one had some tight shit on it. I do know one thing

Jeezy is NOT the king of the south, I got his album its cool and all but he don't really have no lyrics

Scarface was the king but lets get real dude is way past his prime, Da Product was a nice ass CD though. Faces time has came and went

Flip ain't shit, that fool is wack to me I only like that Game Over track from him. Id pick TI over that fool any day

Rick Ross is aight but hes a fly by night dude, I like his swagger though

The tightest rapper from the south in my honest opinion is Lil Wayne. Carter 2 shits all over everything I heard from the south in a looong ass time.
