Do you think features help your project or not?
I ask cause I have seen some cats run out and spend big bread on a feature, and they album didnt move like they thought that feature would move it. Was it wrong for them to base they sales on that feature, or should they rely more on they skills?
What about you payin big bread for a feature thats already layed, and you doing a cut & paste job with Pro-Tools?
I come from the "Old School" way of thinking. When I do features I meet with the artist so we can get a vibe going in the studio, and 9 times out of 10 I will write my shit at the studio just so they know its genuine and aint no verse I took off some other shit I didnt use. LOL aint nothin in the world like meetin your "feature" one day and tellin him/her that they one your album, and they look at you like, .....ummmm.......WHO ARE YOU?
Any stories on this, good or bad, please post.
