x i went over this b4. about lucifur and light bringer and all of that. from what i have studied and gather LUCIFER is NOT the name of an angel. its latin. the first time it appears in the bible is in isaiha. how can a latin word appear way back in those days?

study the words: venus,Eous phoros, heleyl ben shachar, lucem ferre.

this might help you also http://www.mindspring.com/~bab5/BIB/heylel.htm

The point of this thread was to show that the negative stereotypes about atheism are not true especiallly in the case of the astheist on this site.
i had an atheist on this site threaten to shut down my internet connection........... i am constantly seeing certain atheist cuss people out, start arguements and call names........are these atheist humanitarians? i have been accused of doing things/saying things that i have NEVER typed in my life......by who? an atheist.......

1.NO ONE MADE A NEGATIVE STEREOTYPE ABOUT ATHEIST

2.SOME ATHEIST GET UPSET WHEN OTHERS DONT WANT TO TALK TO THEM ABOUT WHAT THEY BELIEVE.

3.YOU ARE ENTITLED TO YOUR OPINION.

so i ask again what is the reason for this thread? i have not saw any indication of atheist being humanitariens. hell the only example i saw happened to be in the list i gave. this thread is actually useless in my opinion. go back and read the thread from the START.

I dunno,i believe in a higher power im just not involved in any organized religion.Im still learning spiritually.Im German-Israeli,and Im learning Jewish history right now (slowly) im learning Hebrew (extremly slow, like, snail speed) and im just trying to embrace the culture but I cant say Im Jewish religiously because I dont agree with every word said in the Torah nor any other scripture of any organized religion.I do believe in a higher power, not sure what it is and thats what makes me non atheist. When I was younger i didnt believe in anything and i was very much an atheist.Ive got nothing against atheists because I understand a portion of their own understanding.

@heresy 'tis Helel(day bringer) ben(son of) Shafar(the morning star). the name of venus. the last star to go dim in a clear sky in the morning. real talk.

I know you know, now you know i know.

I love the power that people give to mythological creatures. its as beautiful as how we as humans personify our pets and trinkets.

Isiah is a great book, it was the one that proves Jesus isnt the son of god, and that he isnt to be worshipped. its where people conjected the notion of virgin birth. a scripture that was TOTALLY taken out of context.

just my words, i aint important.

atheism is a church to an apostate. a mystery to one whose never known of a god, a vice for the reprobate.

but yo, to each his own. Yall Love Jesus or Hatem, I cant fade.we all are going to the same place. . .DEATH.

sum-ur ug-ur-at hum-ur-abi Ur is where it all began the place where they fashioned Gehenna and Sheol, tohu and bohu, etc etc

@heretical heresy do you follow what im talkin about???

@heresy, your comments are useless on this thread. If you dont care or do not see any problem, then dont reply.

i am constantly seeing certain atheist cuss people out, start arguements and call names
Your right, some atheists have done these things but you forgot that you have done these things also!

are these atheist humanitarians?
Most probably are. Just cuz someone argues with you or calls you a name doesnt mean they are not humanitarians!

i have been accused of doing things/saying things that i have NEVER typed in my life......by who? an atheist.......
Hope your not talkin about me.

You always say you never insult people. Read your fuckin posts and see how you word your phrases. They are filled with insults.

1.NO ONE MADE A NEGATIVE STEREOTYPE ABOUT ATHEIST
Thats not true at all. I have seen a number of negative stereotypes ON and OFF this board.

2.SOME ATHEIST GET UPSET WHEN OTHERS DONT WANT TO TALK TO THEM ABOUT WHAT THEY BELIEVE.
And some Theists get upset every time someone mentions the word atheist or questions their beliefs.

so i ask again what is the reason for this thread?
I believe dosia said it best so I wont say it again.

i have not saw any indication of atheist being humanitariens.
Are you fuckin serious or are you joking? Do I need to provide you with a list of people to help you? Oh, sorry about my foul mouth. I hope I havent offended you.

this thread is actually useless in my opinion. go back and read the thread from the START.
Im sorry this thread hasnt been usefull for you, but your replies are useless to me. So what is YOUR point? How do you know it hasnt been usefull to others? Oh, Great heresy, please, please respond with your immeasurable amount of knowledge.

You do not realise that "The Others" (peagans) have possesed the modern Church for their own use. For you to base your theory on them is seemigly inaccurate.

I consider myself a Non- Denominational Christian, i don't not attend Church or give offering, I walk down the streets of LA and by a hungry man lunch rather than pay a pastor's salary. I pray not for answers but for strength to continue my good deeds.

I see now why you inquired about heaven and hell...

@scareface, I dont base my beliefs on the church or any group of people. Basically, I base my beliefs on logic and reason. This goes for all religions I have researched.

You said you walk down the streets of LA and buy a hungry man lunch. That is a good thing to do. I wish there were more people like that around.

I dont have any problems with people that believe differently than myslef. Some of my closest friends are muslum, christian, budhist, agnostic, and many other things. It doesnt matter to me.

I dont understand your last comment. Can you explain please?

Thats one of the stupidest statements I have ever heard. Some of the greatest people who have ever lived on this planet were Atheist. They lived long happy lives, never did they get struck by lightning.
Yo Sixx, some Atheists might have lived good lives on Earth, but is that it? You're born, you live, you die, and that's all? Some of the greatest people that ever lived also believed in God. They might've lived good lives on earth, and but they WILL live better lives in Heaven. How can you take pride in this Earth? Now I don't want to sound ungrateful, but this planet is infested with AIDS, homosexuality, terrorism, greedy people, pollution, etc. And God is sick of it! He's about to put an end to all of this soon.

That's my beliefs Sixx...

Wow, you guys are sure contributing to mankind by singing and praising a lord!!!
people have been singing and praising the lord for yrs. no need to poke fun. do people make fun of u for not believing in god? i doubt it most likely they look/talk down on u.

singing and praising the lord? contributing to mankind? maybe not mankind, but to 1 individual... believe it or not, but a cousin of mine's who was falling away from the church got real sick. doctor's out here in the U.S. didn't know what was wrong with him, so he flew out to Tonga to get some help, but there was no help out there either. he's parents asked us (the church) if we could pray and fast for him, so the church did. my cousin who was falling away from the church then became active in the church and regained his faith. he was given a blessing by an elder and ever since he's been back to normal. funny 'cause now he's back to sinning.

people are known to flip script's religion or no religion.

2-0-Sixx said:
Dont you think it would help alot more if you didnt go to church and do something positive for the human race?
are u doing something positive for the human race? if not, u have no business asking that question. if so, then more power to you. and believe it or not, but church has saved a lot of people's live's who were falling away and were gonna do something bad. yes people who go to church do/has done things they're not supposed to (cuss, kill, adultry, etc...), but so do people who don't go to church.

2-0-Sixx said:
I sinsirely doubt that. Ya they might go to church and little religious bbq's or picinics or whatever, but are they contributing anything positive for mankind? Not likely, and if so, very little.
church has kept people off the street, help homeless people (shelter or food), saved live's, house run-a-ways, open recreation center's for teenager's, church has turned criminals (murderer's, drug dealer's, etc...) into good people (people who say religion made them do bad things are joke's).

those might mean "very little" to u, but to the next man it could mean a hella of a lot.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

as far as hospital's being built before churches... y not build them at the same time? do u really think that their are people graduating from medical school's fast enough to occupy these hospital's? maybe in some area's. while there are no hospital's y not build a church where people can go to feel safe (if there's no homeless shelter as well). at homeless shelter's there are usually more church member's working there or at least people who believe in a hight power, then athiest (because a lot of churches give food to the needy) --> (refferring to ur statement about doing/contributing something positive for the human race).

^^^ i had a better statement than that, but my mind kinda went ballisitic as i started typing.

i have stories for days about religion a lot i forgot wanna hear 'em?
