Thizz and Hyphy??

A lifestyle is how ever you conduct your life. But the problem is the lack of the proper term for this which is American Drug Culture. This shit happens in EVERY decade of recent American history. It is the culture/lifestyle of drug abusers. Most will be in denial and try to make it seem like something "brand new" is emerging, but all of the elements of the Hyphy/Thizz is right on corse with all of the other drug/music culture "movements"...
I'm from Norcal but I'm from the West Bay, we don't roll like that over here really. There ain't sideshows and shit over on this side of the bay. That shit might go down in some parts of Frisco but I don't see that shit in the penninsula where i stay at, people are still mobbin like its 93 over here. We only get a slight taste of that shit over on this side of the bay. Every once in awhile i'll see cats hanging out the window of a car or some shit like that but in the back of my head I'm thinkin yall are just trying to act like Oakland cats. I get stupid like that every once inawhile but i gotta be pretty fucked up to get on that level.
I guess that shit is for youngsters, Its pretty lame for someone my age to carry on like that

The town has been hyphy. Now it includes more...Its got a soundtrack. Damn near guidelines.
I aint mad that its blowin up nationally...shit, its about time we get recognized for more than the most crimes/murders.

Exactly! Oakland needs another image, or an alternatiive one. With 102 murders so far in a city that's smaller than San Jose and San Francisco, yet has more homicides than both cities combined says a lot about the culture out here. Why not consentrate on the more possitive(yet not always) side of our culture. When shit doesn't get out of hand, getting hyphy is just pure fun, I don't see how anyone can hate fun. Unless you're some depressed geek..

When I go out of state and people find out where Im from...I would rather have them recognize the town for hyphy than for..."damn, how the hell did you survive that crazy ass place?!?!"
The bay isnt all shoot outs,murders and mayhem...We are culturally rich and diverse. Im ready to celebrate that.
