just wanted to add a statistic you probably want to know; while im not saying seattle is hood or violent or anything, far from it, but you should know that about 50% of seattles serious crime happens in small concentrated area (the central district). shootings and robberies and other violent crimes happen there every day or every other day

LOL man when is the last time you have been to the central? lol its hella white now and has been for some time, Yeah there is still a small hood element but its not as bad as the southend now RB area is worse, and Skyway too. anyway central is a good mix and hella safe. But yeah wallingford, freemont, ect area's are mad white bassically crime free. Most North end is coo!

Des Moines is a good spot, good community and still pretty close to the city.

they got projects on MLK, in renton highlans (across from the safeway), on portland ave in tacoma. just to name a few.
Where on MLK? There are NO projects in the Highlands, i can assure you that.

Outside of Yesler, there are NO projects left in Seattle, outside of MAYBE the Vista...which has been gentrified as well. They have gone through and updated ALL of Holly Park and High Point, so they are no "mixed" income housing and condos. And as someone else mentioned, the Central District has been completely gentrified....Starbucks and flower pots.

And an FYI, Seattle is the 2nd "whitest" city in the US of over 500,000 populous....right behind Portland, OR.

I always found it ironic that the cities in America that are considered the most liberal cities in the country have really really low black populations

Old wize one, arent you the cat that cant find anyone that will sell him weed in all of seattle because you think everyone is scared of you?

I agree with most people in this thread, the north end is the place to live.

How's Wedgewood? Alki? Briarcliff? Madrona? Edmonds? Mountlake Terrace?

What about cities like Mt. Vernon, Marysville, Bothell, and Arlington?
