hit it up. i was thinking about join the other day. i tryed back in 02' but i was on house arrest n probation. Also, if i was to join, i would have to RE break my femur and take the titanium (SP?) rod out of my leg and do rehabliation again b4 i was able to join. it seems like more of a hassle for me to join. im not sure if u would be intrested in the mairens, i was thinkin the air force would be a better choice. my father actually got me on the idea of lookin into the air force insted of the mariens, he told me there was better jobs and training, so when you get out you will actually have a skill besides shooting a gun. my father serverd 4 years back in the 70's, when he got out he got a high paying job at a local hospital in santa rosa..

You dont need to join the marines to get away from corporate yuppie life. http://www.bluecollarandproudofit.com/ One of the highest demands in America, and expected to continue to rise for at least another 20 years, is blue collar jobs....and they are paying very well. Peep the site, see if there is anything that interests you.
My friend's uncle never went to college, he finished high school and went right into carpentry and framing, was gettin paid anywhere from $16-$22 an hour. Him and his fellow framers started a thing aside from work where they would save up enough money and buy old apartments or little old homes and live in them with a few buddies from work and they would remodel the place while living there, then after about 6-8 months of remodeling and renovating they would sell the house for up to %25 more. He started makin mad bank, now he owns a construction business, he also now lives in a million dollar home and has a porsche and a beach house n shit.
I've been workin for him in the summer, learning how to do carpentry and frame houses, right now he pays me $12 an hour i still have a lot to learn but when I get out of high school I'll work for him full time and he'll pay me up to $20 an hour framin houses.

You have the possibility to make it big through blue collar jobs, they pay high wages hourly, and the key to makin it is to save your money, then invest it in other ventures like my homies uncle did. But you gotta be smart about it. You aren't gunna make bank just by livin off an hourly wage, you gotta invest in shit... real estate is probably the most secure, and most profitable investment. theres some cheap land out there 2, price value almost always goes up with time, remember the population is growing but the land isn't.
