o-line is going to be one of the best in the league. Jackson has looked solid so far, we got taylor to go along with AP, Rice and Allison are going to be great young receivers, williamson has worked extremely hard this offseason on his hands and if he can improve just slightly he can be solid. Our defense is only going to improve from last season, in two preseason games we have like 7 turnovers and 4 have been returned for scores. Im not saying that we're going to be great this year but i think in our division theres always a chance for playoffs. We're building a good foundation while the raiders are doing....well nothing really. O and we have our first round pick from last year(Greenway) back after injury and hes looked fuckin great so far, peter king said he is one of the fastest linebackers hes ever seen.
Sorry not sold on your wr's....Detroit also has had great young wr's and lok how that has turned out for 100 years st8 now.
Jackson is hardly a short term solution much less a long term solution.
Sure your o-line is good, but stacking the line against a rookie rb because noone fears your qb or wr's makes them pretty much moot.
I do agree however about your division and always having a chance to compete!

dont judge jackson just yet give him a chance first, and im not sold on the wr's yet either but i think there is alot of potential there and they definitely can stretch the field. I think the vikings are the most difficult team to judge this year because they have the potential to be very good but they also may be poor. We'll just have to wait and see, but all the realistic people can see that we're in better shape than the raiders tho.

We will see when the raiders and vikings play this season. This post shows nothing but hate, nothing to back up what your saying. The raiders had one of the top defenses in the league last season and will continue to build off of that success, especially with the addition of players like donavan darius, and rookie's quentin moses and jay richardson. The offense will be improved now that the o-line has been re-done and they implemented zone blocking.
The raiders have a lot more weapons then the vikings on defense and offense. I'm not saying they will have a winning season but they will be a lot better then art shell's excuse for a team.

we had the best defense against the run and almost set the all time record for least yards allowed in a season. Our pass defense was weak for two reasons, 1. we couldn't put pressure on the qb, and 2. Fred Smoot. Smoot is gone and our focus this offseason was more blitzes with our new d-coordinator and d-line pressure. I predict a top 10 overall defense and very possibly top 5. And how can you say you have more offensive weapons then us. The raiders were the only team who had a worse offense then us last year and you did nothing substantial to improve your horrible o-line which is your main problem. We added Adrian Peterson who has, next to calvin johnson, the best chance to win ROY. You guys had randy moss and you still sucked, what does that say? Your RB sucks and are injured, and you will again have the worst offense in the league. You need a new argument, and you my friend have nothing to back up what ur saying about your offense. Ill agree your defense is good but please dont say you have a good offense.
Why are you going off of last season to describe the raiders offense? It is a completely different situation now. A brand new head coach, o-coordinator, and o-lineman coach. They completely restructured the o-line, and brought in 2 new starters. The biggest difference is o-line coach tom cable has introduced the zone blocking scheme similar to what the broncos and falcons use. If you've watched the preseason games they are blocking much better then last season and giving the qb time which was their biggest problem last season. If they don't get the o-line improved they will have problems again but so far it is looking a lot better.
And in regards to the offensive weapons, the vikings have a group of inexperienced no name recievers, I think their top wr is bobby wade. A young inexperienced qb. My homie is a die-hard old school Vikings fan, and we always make a Viking vs Chargers bet before the season starts.
Last year it was regular season records for $100, which of course I had locked by week 7 or so.
This year he wanted to change it a bit and we got $100 on "who goes further". In the event that the Chargers get a bye again, he would still have to win that first playoff game.
We also got $40 that the Vikings will have at least 2 picks when they play the Chargers.
