My thoughts after having heard V.A.M.P.I.R.E. three times:

Sicc album from start to finish. A lil different from the "Graveyard Shift" sound, I'd say it's less Blocc more Sicc. Definately one of the best releases from Sacramento these days!

Album Concept:
Feeling how G-Macc set up this (pre-)album. Lotta Interludes and sicc samples that get the mood right. Especially feeling that G-Macc doesn't end a beat after the last verse is finished but often takes another minute or two to let the beat really soak in (something he obviously learned from Beta). Nice to have three outros, wouldn't wanna miss one. Like someone said before (I think it was HIM) it's a good thing G-Macc doesn't take this rapping shit too serious. At the same time, he's a better rapper than many who try too hard imo.

Production/Beats:
G-Macc gotta be one of my favorite producers. Besides KING and the rare Phonk beta beats we get to hear, he is one of the few who still produce the type of beats I wanna hear. No exception with this album. We get top notch production on every song here. Only exception is that "Appetite" beat which doesn't fit in at all. But since G-Macc gives his signature laugh and says "Im just fucking wit you" int he beginning, I'm assuming this just another one of his jokes. Not even starting to name favorite beats here cause the list would be too long. Gotta say though, a lil more Platnum beats would have been great. His only beat (as far as I can tell) on "4 Corner Room" is definately one of the best on V.A.M.P.I.R.E.

Guest Appearences/Features:
Skari easly outshines every other feature on this album as he drops his best verse to this day. His verse on "Mr. Bates" is ridiculous...Skari got gas for days and doesn't even need a beat. Hopefully we will see that Skarri Stunts solo one day!
Devious has a great verse, too, but that's not much of a suprise. He been spittin constant heat for years now without dropping another album.
Gotta mention Tre-8 for his appearance on "I Know", very good track that shows the perfect chemistry between G-Macc and Tre-8 that goes way back to the "Underground Hitlist".
Also, that Jon Doe drops one of the hardest verses since Season on "Evil vs Evil". Definately wanna hear more from him.

Favorite Tracks:
"Waist" - Mad props for re-using that 14 years old beat from "Two To Da Chest", which is one of my all-time fav sac rap songs!
"Mr Bates"
"Evil vs. Evil"
"Cycosis"
"4 Corner Room"
...list could be much longer, prolly gon change depending on my mood.

Everyone who loves sicc music should spend some money on this album. Propz to G-Macc for not changing his style and VENOM for hooking us up!

@VENOM: which movie is that sample at the beginning of "4 Corner Room" from?

wow!.... it's a damn shame that this album has only sold now 16 units...

This album is by far one of the best to come outta Sac in some time now and its not gettin the promotion it needs, im just glad i got my copy but i want the pressed up version and imma cop that as soon as it comes out...BUT,

Seein how this isnt gettin put out like it was suspost to, its got me thinkin the other projects G-Macc is workin on wont drop on time either (Meat Market Vol. 1, The Swastika Project) unless they are dropped under Strange maybe...

BTW Venom, do u know anything about the V.A.M.P.I.R.E. Vol. 2 and when that might be in the works, and also what does V.A.M.P.I.R.E. stand for? thanx

Word of mouth bro. Let your homies know about this right here. Let them know that it is for sale through paypal.

I don't know what Vampire stands for. But I do know that G-Macc is working on his next album. I am not at freedom to tell what the name of it is right just yet. But we are working on it.

Just listened to it last nite its another Sac classic to me!!! I love that dark new age ambient sound thats the sound I would like to hear in more rap albums cuz I grew up on new age music like Enya, Enigma, & Delirium... I want more rappers to experiment on that type of sound... That album is awesome; you guys did a terrific job on constructin this album together I just hope this does get pressed one of these days cuz I would also buy the original copy... I wanna hear more G-Macc experimenting more dark age sounds hopefully his sequel would be better... Man, this seems like this part of the year is lookin reel good for good rap reeleases cuz Im ready to cop DAAM & Slumpilicious......
