lmao i know what game i was playing.. Yeah there was places to visit, that one town, that cave, oh, and that other town.. I'm not real big on visiting town after town to do the same thing.. As for gameplay mechanics the only thing Okami brought new to the adventure genre was the ability to draw/paint on the screen, and use that as a means of attacking and reacting with the environment.. I hated trying to draw shit, sometimes it took me like 10 different tries to jus draw a line and slice a tree lol.. And Okami's story wasnt exactly my favorite either.
Then again im not a real big adventure game fan.. Zelda's the only adventure game that i can really get into.. But to each their own, i know lots of people that liked Okami.. Too me it was jus' way too boring, and i wasn't able to relate with the story at all.. I play the shit out of JRPG's and Japanese games in general, and Okami's story was still way too off the deep end for me.. You're some sun goddess reincarnated as a wolf who has a fairy for a partner and you're goal is to bring color and rainbows back to ancient japan and also defeat an 8 headed dragon-monster thing.. lol no thank you.. Im sure lots of people will find that story interesting, but it jus didnt appeal to me.
btw, i really would like to suggest "Star Ocean: The Last Hope" to any 360 owners that like JRPG's.. This game is so kick ass, the battle system is the best i've ever seen in an RPG.. Some people had complaints with the story, but so far i'm fuckin engrossed in it, and i rly jus get excited at each cut-scene.. Be warned tho, the voice acting for a few characters is HORRIBLE lol.. It really puts a dent in how the story is told but w/e, if you can forgive the sorry voice acting then you'll really enjoy this game.
