I THINK CASH MONEY BROUGHT SUMTHIN NEW TO THE TABLE AND THEY COULDNT COMPETE WIT THAT TYPE OF SOUND. ALSO I THINK THE TURMOIL AND MYSTIKAL LEAVIN KILLED EM. U CAN ONLY BE BIG FOR SO LONG UNTIL MONEY BECOMES A ISSUE AND PEOPLE START GETTIN GREEDY OR STARTS TOI THINK THEY ARE BIGGER THAN THE TEAM.

U CANT HATE ON MASTER P DUDE LEFT A MARK IN THE RAP GAME THAT NOBODY WILL PROBABLY EVER LEAVE...HE CONTINUES TO MAKE MONEY..HE SET HIS SON UP TO NOT BE DEPENDANT ON HIM..U GOTTA RESPECT THAT..DUDE IS SMART AND I SALUTE HIM...ONE MORE THING EVEN THO DUDE CANT RAP HE MADE MUSIC FOR A GENERATION AT THE RIGHT TIME AND CAPITALIZED OFF OF IT AND FLOODED THE MARKET WIT CDS AND MOVIES LIKE NO OTHER COMPANY HAS DONE..I REMEMBER I WAS IN 9TH GRADE AND NIGGAS WOULD BE WEARIN ARMY PANTS AND SUM NIGGAS WOULD HAVE THE NO LIMIT TANK ON THEY NECK DAT WAS LIKE 97'-98'..

master the no limit legacy damn aint nothin but classics. i spent nearly $200 bucks trying to re-collect my cds i lost or sold. so much high school memories mane. because of Master P especially the "ice cream man" cd, it made me interested in checking out southern music. aint no southern or indie label today will ever compare to no limits legacy and track/sales record. everybody wants their own label and get that indie money like p did. alotta these new cats need to give P his props. P is definitely the "TRUE KING OF THE SOUTH."
FREE MAC!!!! now if he ever gets out, it's on again. that dude is lyrical as fuck i got both his albums and they are fire. try buying them they go as high as $70 bucks. dude had soooo much potential until he got locked up. i heard a documentary about his murder trial will come out soon. i just hope the truth comes to light and he'll get free cuz i damn sure need some new Mac.

IF YOUR FAVORITE RAPPER MADE AN ABLUM EVERY WEEK AND HAD THE SAME FEATURES AND THE SAME PRODUCERS ON EACH RELEASE YOU WOULD GET SICK OF HIM/HER TOO. MASTER P IS A LEGEND YOU CANT TAKE THAT FROM HIM. HOW MANY PEOPLE BIT HIS COVERS, AND HIS HUSTLE. OF COURSE HE SOAKED ALL HIS GAME IN THE BAY AREA AND TOOK IT WORLD WIDE BUT WHO CARES.

LETS HAVE A MOMENT OF SCILENCE FOR "NO LIMIT RECORDS" R.I.P.

I hated on No Limit for the first couple of years...my friend had that second TRU double-album though, and it had some smashes so when Ghetto D came out I copped that album. I think Ghetto D is real tight, even though there was some heavy biting going on (using the same "samples" that just had been used by other artists, doing the 2Pac-impersonations etc.). After that I started collecting all the Master P-cd's and lots of No Limit-albums. I like "99 Ways To Die" (Al Eaton!) and "Ice Cream Man", but the other ones of P's solos were pretty wack..."The last don", "Only God Can Judge Me", "Ghetto Postage", "Gameface"...not albums I bump on the regular! I also liked Silkk The Shockers "Charge It 2 Da Game", some Kane & Abel, some Soulja Slim, even one of C-Murders albums (not Life Or Death, but one that came later). My homie was into Skull Duggery. The best album on No Limit was Snoop's "No Limit Top Dogg", though...but I don't concider that a "real" No Limit album (production from Dre, Quick etc., which smashed on everything Beats By The Pound ever did...that "Ghetto Symphony" is probably one of the weakest beats I've heard pre-Laffy Taffy-era). To sum it up, No Limit was fun in their prime, they made some hits, took the independent game to another level...but it couldn't last with all the oversaturation, average to bad rappers and hit and miss-production...

u aint like life or death? and beats by the pound are VERY talented. jus give it a second listen

i enjoyed the no limit of the 90's....................with that said u can hate P or love him, but dude is one hell of a hustler just look @ the list of accomplishments that italianstallion posted, he gets major respect for that......A lot of rap cats out there owe a lot to P for what he has done, period....

what the hell happened? where did everything go wrong?
MASTER P STARTED COMPETING WIT CASH MONEY ... CASH MONEY WAS ON THE RISE & P STARTED TO IMMULATE THEY "FLASHY, BLING STYLE" AND IT DIDNT WORK AT ALL. EVERYTHING WENT DOWN HILL WHEN JUVENILE SHOT THE VIDEO FOR "BACK DAT AZZ UP" & THEN A WEEK LATER TRU SHOT THE VIDEO FOR "HOODY HOO" I WAS LIVIN IN NEW ORLEANS THIS TIME. SUMMER OF 99'. AND YOU COULD TELL PEOPLE WAS MORE INTO CASH MONEY RIGHT AFTERWARDS

Yup P bit too hard, I remember everything was quality untill he dropped that Last DOn bullshit. THat was when CMR was gettin their underground shine, you knew it was just a matter of time before they blew up.

i think silkk has to be in the top 5 worst non beat ridin ass "rappers" in history

dude always sounded like he was tryin to catch up with the beat. on one hand i give him his props for trying to sound different, but id rather hear some bitin ass wannabe rapper than that bullshit. a lot of no limit was bullshit but i found a lot of other good music through no limit primarily in its early days before the bling covers and artist of the week release overload

No Limit fell off when P was tryin 2 be a actor/athlete/rapper/ceo all at once and forgot about the artists on his label. Then he started not payin his producers Beats By The Pound wich included his cousin Mo B. D. Shit got so bad that even his own brother C-Murder would vouche for them and he would tell him he was wrong 4 that and that he needed 2 take care of business but P wouldnt hear it so one by one niggas started leavin him.
