I agree, but I thought it was a pretty obvious one by now so I was trying to put up some most people probably haven't seen.
True, but you would be surprised how many people still have haven't even heard of it. I just told my Homebody right now and he was like, WTF? He never heard of it, much less seen it.

Turks Fruit - Turkish Delight (1973)

Sort of a cross between "Love Story" and an earthy Rembrandt painting, this movie stars Rutger Hauer as a gifted Dutch sculptor who has a stormy, erotic, and star-crossed romance with a beautiful young girl. The story follows the arc of their relationship and his interaction with her family. Told in flashback form, initially Hauer is seen as a libertine lothario collector, taking trophies from his sexual conquests and pasting them in a book. He sees a sculpture he made of his lost lover and goes into a flashback of his relationship with his wife. He meets the girl, falls in love with/marries her, and we meet her parents: a charming, well meaning, bumbling father, and his shrew of a wife, who's convinced Hauer's too much of a bohemian to make a good mate for her daughter. Eventually, the petty jealousies, the sexual hijinks, and the climactic vomit scene prove too much for the marriage, and sculptor and his lady fair separate. Flash forward several months, and Hauer finds the girl back in Holland after an American sojourn. Their reunion is short lived; the somewhat melodramatic ending mirrors "Love Story"

I couldn't find any clips with subs though

Yeah, I guess there are a lot of people out there who have never seen it.

Anyways...

You should check this flick out.

Set in 1997, Elite Squad follows the lives of a BOPE captain, Nascimento, and two potential BOPE officers and childhood friends, Neto Gouveia and André Matias, and their experiences revolving the visit of the pope John Paul II to Rio de Janeiro. It visualizes the struggle against the high levels of corruption eminent in the city and depicts the drug trafficking militias which have virtual control within the favelas while the police run their criminal enterprises outside. At the same time, Captain Nascimento must balance his attempts to find a replacement and with becoming a father. And while Gouveia is quick on the trigger to maintain order, Matias refuses to compromise his ideals, leading him to make some tough choices.

Also check out Bus 174 which I recommended in the documentary thread.

It's called Der Schuh Des Manitu (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0248408/) and to me it wasn't funny at all. But hey, one of the most successful German Comedys ever..

I'd recommend this movie:

Bang Boom Bang

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0135790/

Life could be just great for bankrobber Keek: His buddy Kalle is doing time for their last coup, while Keek has to retain the loot. Kalle will spend two more years in jail, so Keek is not exactly bothered by the fact that he has lost most of the money betting on horse races. But then Kalle watches a porn video 'starring' his girlfriend and he breaks free to take revenge. Suddenly, Keek is in desperate need of cash and even the weirdest scheme seems promising.
Funniest German movie to me...

I can imagine that it wouldn't be funny to you but for me the German language sounds so funny that's why I said to watch it in German without subtitles like I did. The funniest shit I've seen. I also watched it in English and I didn't find it funny.

I never even noticed that guy playing a double part untill someone told me afterwards hahahaha

This reminds me for some odd reason.

Here is a pretty funny story.

I'm like 16-17 years old (so back in 1996-97, fuck you 90s babies) and I'm super fucking lit after smoking really good weed from when more or less when I woke up until I'm about to pass out. So at like 3am I'm really fucking high after taking like two straight bong bowls to the head by myself and I'm flipping through the tv channels when I come upon a newscast from Germany on some channel. I stop for some reason and lay back and start watching it. Fast forward like almost an hour later and I'm still watching it swearing that everything I hear makes sense to me (I only speak english and a little spanish). Like I swear I knew what they were talking about the whole time. I snap out of it and I'm like "what the fuck am I watching?" and I turn off the tv and go to sleep.

Thinking back on that still cracks me up everytime until this day.

Shinobi

After more than four hundred years of war between the Shinobi warriors of the Manjidani Koga and Tsubagakure Iga clans, the Lord Hattori Hanzou decrees that they must live in peace. Both clans live hidden in the woods and mountain without confrontation and without training ninjas in the shadow art of Shinobi. In 1614, the Lord of the Lords is convinced that the clans are dangerous threats for keeping peace in his lands, and his advisor plots a Machiavellian plan to destroy their best warriors in a contest. Meanwhile, the young Iga Oboro and Koga Gennesuke fall in love for each other. When Oboro's grandmother and leader of Iga clan Ogen and Gennesuke's father and leader of the Koga clan Danjo kill each other, Oboro and Gannesuke must lead their warriors in the ultimate battle of the Shinobi clans.
