^ hes a team player!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But ya ive read on oregonlive.com numerous times that roy THROWS IT DOWN during practice and not awhole lot of people really know how athletic roy is. hes really not a flashy player, and just like he said when he went to the rookie game during the all stars, "im not too into the flasy things, i just help my team win" or someshit like that which made me respect roy even moreeeee!

Roy, Pierce Named Players of the Week

NEW YORK, Dec. 17, 2007 – The Boston Celtics’ Paul Pierce and the Portland Trail Blazers’ Brandon Roy today were named the Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played Monday, Dec. 10 through Sunday, Dec. 16.
Pierce led the Celtics to a 3-0 week, helping Boston extend its winning streak to nine games. At 20-2, the Celtics own the NBA’s best record and have tied the franchise record for best start through 22 games, first achieved during the 1963-64 season. Pierce averaged 25.3 points and 5.0 rebounds. The ninth-year pro connected on 24-of-27 (.888) free throws including a nine-of-nine effort during Boston’s 104-82 win over the Bucks on Dec. 14.

Roy, who wins his second consecutive Player of the Week Award, led the Trail Blazers to a 4-0 week, averaging 23.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 1.0 steals. Portland is in the midst of a Western Conference-best seven-game winning streak. Roy’s signature performance came in a Dec. 16 win over the Nuggets as the second-year guard scored 26 points on 11 field goals made and dished out 11 assists (both tied career highs).

Here is a closer look at the week for Pierce and Roy:

Paul Pierce, Boston Celtics
Dec. 12 vs. Sacramento: Tallied 26 points, six rebounds, four assists, two steals and one block in Boston’s 90-78 win over the Kings.
Dec. 14 vs. Milwaukee: Poured in 32 points, including five-of-11 from three-point range as the Celtics beat the Bucks 104-82.
Dec. 16 @ Toronto: Collected 18 points, six rebounds, four assists and one steal in a 90-77 win over the Raptors.

Brandon Roy, Portland Trail Blazers
Dec. 11 @ Utah: Paired 16 points with three rebounds and three assists in a 97-89 win over the Jazz.
Dec. 12 vs. Golden State: Tallied 21 points, five rebounds and seven assists in a 105-95 win over the Warriors.
Dec. 14 vs. Utah: Scored 29 points and added four rebounds and four assists in a 99-91 victory over the Jazz.
Dec. 16 @ Denver: Tied career highs with 11 assists and 11 field goals made, scoring 26 points and adding six rebounds in a 116-105 win against the Nuggets.

Roy is old school mayne, he can throw down and has (remember all over david west) but he likes just settin the ball in. he's flashy gettin to the basket, but not when he finishes
