I expect there to be smart ass comments on here...It's a given...and hell I've cracked jokes before too....But my faith is my faith and it would be cool if people could just chill on the shit...

I've been to the Vatican and seen people of ALL faiths who respected the man for what he did...Even if yer not Catholic, he was a humanitarian and that can't be denied...Not to say I agree with everything he did, but still...

i personally didn't like the Pope and had no real respect for the man .. but at the same time you have cats in here that really respected the man and their just saying R.I.P. why would you want to knock that? i haven't liked a couple of people that died .. you don't see me in their funerals going up to people saying "man this dude was a bitch just thought you should know". there's no point to it. peoples beliefs are just, that THEIR beliefs, not YOURS.

I FEEL YOU. EVERYONE IS ENTITLED TO THEIR OPINION AND THEIR OWN VIEWS. BUT NOT EVERYONE IN HIS POSITION IS WILLING TO TRAVEL AROUND THE WORLD AND HELP. YOU DON'T SEE BILL GATES DOING ANYTHING CLOSE TO THAT.
Read this and then speak, http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/3913581.stm . Gates earned his money and chose to spend it this way, The Pope was spending that money as a part of his job description... I'm not knocking the guy, he's great. However, it was his job to do the things he did. The money that people pay into collection is supposed to go to those causes... yet so many preists, pastors and ponitiffs live lavishly off of the money that so many poor and struggling people willingly give up in the name of their god.

The world could be a better place, many people strive to keep it this way.

what about El Salvador???? fall of communism?? ROFLMAO that's kinda funny. Great, so the pope helped spread imperialism which helped cause much more genocide in many nations. Not to mention all the cover ups he was responsible for in regards to pedophilia and Nazi Germany. The pope wasn't as great as CNN tells you he was homie.

Trust me when I say, the Pope knew much more than us mere mortals do... some good, some bad, some so secret that the majority of the public could not handle if revealed.

I made a Catholic girl laugh at the Pope's death yesterday...I knd of felt bad, because she was seriously disturbed by laughing. Laughter is the root of all happiness, may the Pope rest in piece as may Mitch Hedberg. So many in this world do so much, why aren't we all fulfling our dreams?
