I had one of those dog back packs for my son when he was starting to walk and up till he was like 3 when we'd be in places with a grip of people. They are not meant to drag motherfuckers lol, they're to keep the kid from wondering off or getting kidnapped. Also I've saved him from some nasty spills by holding the strap up so he wouldn't fall as if he were bungee jumping.
