At the risk of sounding like a hater, I wasn't satisfied with the dvd. TTV1 couldn't be replicated without dre hosting, and that wasn't expected. Everyone knew thizz was waiting to drop the dvd but didn't have enough footage of dre, which was obviosuly correct. I think j diggs & b luv are trying to hard to act like dre, even if they aren't dressing like him. If you watch j diggs dvd from California Livin pt. 2, he's laid back, just kickin it. In this, he's doing the hand movements, the facial expressions, and using the same delivery dre used. I like j diggs, dubee, and psd, but never really felt the other cats for the simple fact that they don't have that charisma that sets them apart from the rest of the squad. I think they could have easily dedicated TVT2 to dre alone, and put all that other crap on TVT3, because it won't be suprising if it comes out a month from now. Did they show the paintings of dre in sf & vallejo? Did they have footage of the parties in the crest & downtown on dre's last 2 b-days? "Town Bidness" was one of the worst & cheapest dvds ever put together, but it had a better memorial section for dre in it. They have clips from dre's casket being carried out to the van he was in being pulled out by a tow truck, and thizz couldn't show the inside of the church or so much as a head stone? I just feel that for dre giving them their bread & butter, they could have done him a little more justice.
i got mine on monday from access hip hop in pacific beach.
i thought the dvd was pretty ill for what they were able to put together. the quality was clean. i gotta complain about all the reused songs that they had on there. "can you shout" and "thizzle dance" didnt need to be put in again... it came off as a a remake of treal tv 1 on some parts. dont get me wrong though, shit was still entertaining.
