Carmen's is the best BBQ in the bay, imo. Their corn bread and baked beans are always a must. I just hate their skimp servings. I have to spend around $30 just to get full.

homemade quiche and tomato soup with spinach leaf salad

quiche:
green onions
1 whole chicken breast
one big handful spinach
6 eggs
1c. heavy cream
sharp cheddar cheese
goat cheese

tomato soup:
fresh basil
6 roasted large tomatoes(I would use Roma if i had the choice)
2 tbsp pesto
mozzarella cheese
a dash of paprika for added smoky depth
salt and pepper to taste

went to sandra dee's in downtown sacramento on wednesday night. if you haven't been here, i suggest you go...it's on the corner of f and 15th streets. it appears that hella celebrities done been here.

anyways, i ordered their "wing thing." 7 well seasoned wings, with some mac and cheese that was pretty good, had a hint of garlic flavor in it.
