Yes, I am aware that happens and have to begrudgingly accept it. Most grocery store chicken is labeled that it contains up to 15% saline solution. If it's any consolation it was marinating for over 24 hours; I believe most of that saline water was displaced by the teriyaki marinade because there was a lot of residual liquid in the ziplock bag, which was much thinner than the marinade. Most of the time I overcook my chicken to eliminate this liquid and to reduce the amount of fat.
