Had this on the slow cooker all night. It came out perfecto. Chicken Soup with all fresh ingredients. It has boneless thigh meat, squash, corn, tomatoes, celery onions, red potatos and carrots. Seasoned with herb and garlic flavoring and a can of tomato paste to set it off just right. According to my lady, this is the best one yet....

^ that looks nice and hearty. It'd be nice to have a slowcooker around, might have to make a purchase or politely steal one before winter comes along. Only soup I remember making just myself was some caldo de res. So fire with the beef shank, cobbed corn, cabbage, etc its filling and only takes around 2-3 hours.

You want it to cook overnight. It will get real tender and the flavors will mix. Slow cookers are cheap nowadays. $30-50 bucks should get you a decent one.

Carne asada tacos with some cabbage pico, guacamole and a little cheese. Rice and beans on the side. Everything homemade. I picked up the corn tortillas from a little mexican market that makes them fresh daily. Oh boy!

I think tomorrow I am doing a rack of ribs real slow (6 hours) until the meat falls off the bone.
