The Giants placed Torres (Achilles) on the 15-day disabled list Friday, according to the team's official Twitter page.

Spin:
Torres' sore Achilles has not improved during the week, but the good news is he will have already used up several days of his DL stint since he has not appeared in a game since last Saturday. Expect Torres to return to the team before the end of the month.
