119 8/17
121 7/20
121 4/24
how is 119 over 120? and 121 is1 pitch over 120.. i still wouldnt count that as high, 132 is pretty high but he's thrown 150 before in college i heard.

fact of the matter is everyone wants to see this kid fall on his face.. everyone always says his size this and that, his mechanics are outta wack.. i mean he's proving everyone wrong right now.

From Andrew Baggarly's blog:

Pushing Tim: Should we applaud or boo the Giants for letting Lincecum throw 132 pitches?

First thing I’d like to point out: Tim Lincecum talked to the media, took a shower, put on his jeans and flip-flops, wished us a good night and walked out of the ballpark.

No ice.

One more time: 132 pitches, no ice.

Lincecum did a lot of stretching after Wednesday’s game, which is normal. He even hung like a chimpanzee from the dugout roof a minute or two after he was taken out of the game in the eighth inning … with a pitch count of 132. Did I mention that?

key words are "right now". no1 has ever dismissed his talent or stuff....what shyed people away from him is his long term value.

many teams shyed away from his KNOWING full well that Washington abused the kid.

many in the bottom half of the draft said they might take a chance on him if he fell to them but would more than likey shut him down because of the workload

i think his closing statements are similar to what i have been saying for some time now........

http://blogs.mercurynews.com/extrab...iants-for-letting-lincecum-throw-132-pitches/

.............That said, while I don’t think the decision was as egregious as the final number made it appear, I do have to take issue with it. All the drama and Cy Young awards aside, this is a late-August game for a fourth-place team. Winning or losing Wednesday night meant nothing in the long run. And I think Lincecum will have something to do with this team’s future success, don’t you?

So that’s the way I have to go. Go ahead, call me a wimp, but pulling Lincecum after seven would have been the right move.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a pint of Phish Food to inhale.

guys who throw in the 90's dont pitch for 15 years anyways. we got timmy for a few years. we will re sign him. and after that contract is up he will be trade bait and used up. we can ship him to the dodgers and he can have the same out come as the last 3-4 pitchers we have shipped them... hahahahahahahahahahahaha

when you try and throw your hardest or throw a bad pitch because youre mad at the call before that is when you fuck up your arm, bad mechanics and also nothing but breaking pitches like curveballs and sliders fuck up your arm. all the other things like icing and keeping your arm warm help too.

greg maddux and tim wake field are 100 years old. they throw below 90 and always have. guys like rob dibble and timmmmmmmyyyyyyy who throw upper 90's dont last long. they end up with problems......
once upon a time when Maddix started with the Cubs he threw 90. it wasnt until he arrived in Atlanta that he started throwing sub 90

toss out the Wake. knuckleballers dont count. i will give you jamie moyer

other recent/current 40 year olds are Clemens, Nolan Ryan, Randy Johnson, Petite, Schilling, Pedro (blew arm out now lives at 86-91 MPH), Tim Hudson (going on 12 years), Mussina (now lives in the 88-92 range, but was alway 90+ back in the day). an i can name relief pitcher after relief pitcher that are over 40 and till throwing hard

relief pitchers dont count they work 2-6 innings a week tops. some throw to 1 batter and sit for a week.

timmy throws 95+ other than nolan ryan, the big unit and clemens, none of them thow as hard. and most of who you named were steroid boys. so there is your edge. i think its a matter of opinion. we arent getting paid to talk about it so i say we let it go.
