This is how I take it Jed...Look at all of your facebook friends and see who you REALLY talk to on a daily, weekly, monthly basis. I think alot of people add people they know so they can have more friends than their friends. Its a status thing... Now if your brother is sincere and wanting to talk and build a relationship, thats cool go for it.
I dont have a brother, so I dont really know how I would feel. Im just giving the best advice I can. Long post short... If you both want to talk and be cool together do it, if he adds you on facebook and doesnt say shit or expects you to start the conversation, I'd say fuck it.

So if he had people talking in his ear, he may have been given some faulty information. Was he young at the time, maybe a little impressionable?
I'm not saying that's an excuse but rather things to think about. He may have regrets and may want to fix what happened though, so I'd give him a chance. I don't want to tell you what to do though.

@LDS If he's coming at you realizing he fucked up, I'd say at least give him a chance. How'd he approach it? Did he say something or did he actually just friend you?

He's always been on his way out, so to speak, but he also made the choice to allow people to control him. All I know is the woman he left with is now recently no longer his wife, so it seems odd.
He just friended me. The last time I heard anything about him was 2003 when my dad was in a coma in the hospital. Given that Dad passed in November, I'm sure this move back into our lives is because of that.
