Who are you to judge? Do you go back to the place where you got your first job to "pay homage"? Why should the Rock? Why should he be on Raw every week? He owes the fans NOTHING.
Sorry. I forgot Im not allowed to have an opinion. My bad.

This might sound strange to you but my first job didn't make me famous. Nor do i have tons of fans at my job.

Be on Raw every week? I never said that. Have some respect for the profession that made you famous instead of denouncing it? yes

Lol @ Ungodd getting butthurt over Rock "Denouncing" wrestling..stfu who gives a flying fuck
OH OH OH!!! I GIVE A FLYING FUCK!

sorry that I care about wrestling more than I care about the rock. Nice to see you all get so upset just because I don't like what the rock did.

I'm just saying, the Rock owes the fans NOTHING. Of course I'd like to see him back full time, but hey it's his life. As far as I know, he isn't denouncing wrestling at all. In fact, he talks about it a lot these days when doing interviews and such. Maybe he did in the past, but that's when he was trying to be taken seriously as an actor and not just some "wrestling guy". He's done a hell of a job too. Now that he doesn't carry around that stigma, he misses wrestling and it's in his roots....so he came back. But of course not full time. But can you blame him? Be on the road 300 days a year, destroying your body, sleeping in hotels every night, airport after airport. Hey, I can't knock ANYBODY for "turning their back" on that. Get over it.

the rock didnt turn his back on wrestling vince still gets a piece from his movies. also hes bigger and more popular then any wrestler on the roster including cena. I wish people will stop saying that shit. atleast he still in great shape and can perform Cena will be another kevin nash(broke down wrestler) when he in his 40s bc his body took tremendous damage since 2003.

about the rock writing on his wrist who cares since the whole show is fake & scripted theres no difference then the teleprompts they used to use on the event center. to me alot people iare jealous of the rock and go out they way to hate. He can go away for other ventures comeback to the loudest pop. I think they mania match wont have a clean winner from pinfall if they gonna go about with the 3 series matches as planned.
Yeah I don't think the notes on his wrist is a big thing either, was just posting that pic. I mean, dude was cutting like a 20 minute interview and just wanted to make sure he remembered certain topics. Tonight didn't even feel like a "Rock" promo, it seemed straight from the heart and like a "Dwayne Johnson" promo. Was good stuff.

The only reason he changed his tune is because of the backlash he got.
I have never said come back and wrestle full time... but flat out saying you want nothing to do with what made you who you are is a bit much

The Rock trying to be Dywane Johnson is about as probable as Hulk Hogan being Terry Bollea

Change his tune? Why would he need to do that? WWE needs The Rock MUCH MORE than The Rock needs the WWE. He didn't need to come back at all.

No, it's not a bit much. A lot of people laugh at wrestling, so it's harder for a wrestler to make the transition into something else, like MMA or movies. He did what he had to do. He didn't want to be a wrestler anymore, he wanted to do movies. He didn't want to be known as "The Rock", he wanted to be a movie star, which he is. A mainstream movie star. He didn't have to assosciate himself with WWE, didn't owe them or tha fans a damn thing. Seriously, man up and get over it, or change the channel when he comes on.

It's a bit moronic to compare the acting careers of Hogan and The Rock, if that's what you are getting at. If that's not what that last comment was, not sure what you mean.

Did Mark Henry piss off somebody in management? They spend months building him up as a beast and then he loses two weeks in a row in under five minutes from a single kick to the head? I don't get it.

please give us a link of valid proof that he said he "wanted nothing to do with what made him" cmon cock sucker, really bro? He always just said he didn't jus want to be known as "The Rock" anymore big deal! Doesnt mean he tried to forget about where he came from. He obviously just wanted to be taken more serious with his acting career and didn't want people to think he was just a WWE gimmick making it big for his 15 mins of fame in Hollywood.

Why would he need to change his tune? probably because he has a built in fan base appease.... :ermm:

I understand why rock distanced himself from wrestling.... but the fact is HE DISTANCED HIMSELF FROM WRESTLING! You guys can try to put whatever spin you want on it but it won't change anything. Sorry. I will never like the fact that he did that. Apparently Im not allowed to not like The Rock and voice my opinion on him :cheeky:

How is me talking about two guys names even close to comparing their acting career?

What I am saying is..... At this point in life no matter what these iconic figures do they will ALWAYS be known as wrestlers. When Dwayne Johnson comes on TV even non wrestling fans go.... THATS THE ROCK! same thing goes for Hogan. The Rock will never be able to distance himself from this sport. Thats why he's back

Since coming back the only The Rock has shown is just how much better John Cena is on the mic....

And apparently The Rock can't do whatever he wants with HIS life.

You can have your opinion, you replied to me so I replied back. As simple as that.

Anyways, I'm tired of the debate and over it. You have a right to voice your opinion, I was just trying to enlighten you a bit.

As far as the whole Rock thing goes, he did what many people do in Hollywood and he tried separating himself from the road he took to get there.

I remember when he first was billed by his legal name, and I remember the questions he dodged in interviews about his past as a wrestler.

He did that so he could show his try at Hollywood wasn't like other wrestlers who have tried and ultimately never gained that much fame.

It's slightly underhanded in the way he acted as if it wasn't the main reason he got there, but I can't say I wouldn't do the same.

He did come back, and has been giving the same intensity for his shoots as he had before he took the step to become a big league actor.

That's really all I ask for as a huge fan of his.
