i don't know how you figure it should have been 6-0 when he only gave up 5 hits in 7 innings with 7 Ks...
and no i dont think lowe has had more than 3 bad starts. look at the stats. 5/4, 5/9 and 5/18 were his only bad starts. and he has a 3.88 ERA, not 4.05. that's not bad by any stretch of the imagination.
and your last sentence makes absolutely no sense. the burden falls on the offense and defense EVERY game. if we dont score, we dont win. if we play bad defense, we give up runs and most likely we dont win.

1) his ERA is 3.88. it was 4.05 BEFORE today. and that's the 2nd best out of our regular starters...
2) a loss doesn't mean it was a bad start. he gave up 1 run and got a loss today.
3) there's no way to prove the team "works harder" when lowe pitches. if you're basing it off hits, penny and kuroda both allow more hits per inning than lowe. they also have FEWER Ks per inning and MORE walks per inning, which means there is more pressure on the defense then than when lowe is pitching. (which i guess would mean they're "working harder")
so again...you're failing to prove any of your points
