Ill be on later tonight. I took a week off, got in a room w/ nuke and got the fuck outta there. Most of the guys were on vacation the last week or 2 so it's a lot quieter in the week. If anyone up for missions later I'll be on around 9 or 10 after I get faded.

A new update for GTA Online, version 1.09, has eradicated a number of cash and player progression glitches, on top of strengthening overall anti-cheat measures in the online multiplayer side of GTA 5.
Rockstar hasn't said which exact exploits have been taken care of in the patch notes, nor has the studio offered any context. We've followed up with Rockstar for more information and will update this post accordingly.
Rockstar issued three updates to GTA Online throughout December. The first unlocked creation tools for deathmatch and race variants back on December 11. A week later, Rockstar added capture the flag and then, shortly after Christmas, Verified Jobs – special curated online match variants chosen by Rockstar itself. Co-op heists are due sometime later this year.

sO BASICALLY, if you earned 1 million legit but were gifted 500 billion, you're left with about 50k lol. That's fucked uuup.
If they do an RP fix, I'm callin it quits haha. Their next dlc will cost money but I think that;s for the story-mode expansion not the online portion. I'm going on in a minute to see if I have a dunce cap or cheaters pool since I used the dns thing.

Their explanation was that they could tell if you were only given money and if you gave money away, so they would only take the money away given to you. However if they see you gave money away or other hacks more severe penalties apply. But browsing some forums and it seems that the $550,000 that I have was pretty much the norm, so it looks to me like they wiped everyone's bank and gave them $550k, or less depending on the "crime" lol
If I sold everything in my garage I'd have about 5 or 6 mill . IDK if I want to do that.
No cheaters pool or anything. I went on and got 2000 for good behavior lol. I'm seriously glad I loaded up on ammo before this update. I'd go broke filling up my god damn rocket launcher.
Taking Aim at GTA Online Cheaters Update Jan 16 –
Please note that today’s maintenance has now been completed and Grand Theft Auto Online is back up and running. Thanks again everyone for your patience.
In recent weeks, a small number of Grand Theft Auto Online players sought to exploit the game by generating and distributing game-breaking amounts of in-game cash, disrupting the experience for other players.(Updated)
We will continue to issue title updates on an ongoing basis to counter the negative impact this has had on gameplay, and as part of today’s maintenance period, we are removing the counterfeit GTA$ from the game's economy. Anyone who innocently received GTA$ as a result of these exploits but did not engage in cheating to acquire it will not face any further action - the funds will just be removed, and you'll be able to keep any items you currently own.
Those who actively engaged in cheating and exploiting the game in this manner will, however, be subject to in-game penalties at our discretion. This may include being placed in isolated cheater pools or banned from GTA Online altogether.
Should you ever encounter someone in GTA Online that appears to be taking advantage of exploits in your session, we ask that you alert us directly via the in-game reporting functionality. In the Pause menu, under the Online tab, select Players and scroll to the offending player. From there, select Report and choose Exploits from the violation options.
We're grateful for the community's continued support in dealing with these issues and once again apologize to anyone that has had their Grand Theft Auto Online experience sullied by these exploits that broke the game's natural flow. Please stay tuned for lots more news about GTA Online in the weeks ahead.

I know right? The night after christmas I was on there for hours using the hacks and 2/3 of EVERY room I went in to had the same shit. God mode, invisible, billion+ bounties, sharing cash. You can only kill someone in god mode with a baseball bat and that's what most of us were doing while we set huge bounties on each other. Complete strangers and multiple lobbies. Small number that affected everybody I know. Small number my ass lol.

Maaan I had that problem years ago trying to update modern warfare 2. Couldn't figure it out and a friend told me to do this:

Now install the update.
Never had a problem with it again. That was with my fat 60 gig.
