They better figure out a way to keep Hunter on the floor. He played a huge part in the Warriors winning the game period. Oden torched us in the first Qtr. Hunter put a body on him and took him completely out the game. Oden was already in foul trouble, but Hunter played low post defense like a big man is supposed to, and he hit two clutch shots. I don't know much about him, but the kid is ready. He has height and body mass to cover anybody out there. He's a good passer too.
Rad Vlad played some good defense too. He's a live body with good hands. He has surprised me with his play since he's joined the team. I like his driving ability more than his perimeter shooting. If he can take his man off the dribble or move with out the ball, our point guards shoot be able to get him easy buckets all night.
Magette kept Aldridge in foul trouble too. Him and Steve Jackson play the same type of game, so having one ball hog is plenty enough. Plus he's an effective ball hog too. As long as he can get to the foul line and hit his mid range jumper we in business.
Monta and Curry both had 8 or more assist and they so fast , you cannot keep a man in front of them. Miller stayed in foul trouble, and Roy decided too play less defense in order to stay on the floor. Curry is a defensive liability at this point, but if Monta can play like he played last night against a premiere player then we can have a better chance of winning games.
Randolph has got to get his confidence level up a few notches. He missed some shots he had no business missing. He needs to drive the ball when he has the go ahead to do so, but he has to finish strong. Pryzbilla picked him clean on a play where he was standing there trying to figure out what to do with it. He's gotta stop taking dumb fouls too. He fouled Oden on a clear dunk. And he doesn't know how to front the bigs either. Hunter came right in and fronted Oden from the gate and kept him far enough from the hoop to impose damage. With Hunter on the team, he should be able to move back to PF. That's his natural position anyway.
I aint gonna appoint Hunter the new Center, but from the looks of it, he has his game down pat and fits in nicely because of his size. He has B-ball smarts too. To walk into your first NBA game and show no signs of being intimidated by the game will go over well for him.
