Ya'll sound like a bunch of Raider fans. If Nelllie leaves we are no longer watchable. No decent coach will want to come an coach us.
both statements are absurd.

we already have keith smart, ready willing and able.

LOL at "watchable". so its fun to watch us lose? or watch "small ball" get bodied? because nellie is the coach?

you sound like you're ignorant on the topic of sports.

Gee wow, a couple blocked shot highlights and Im supposed to believe Azu is a good defender..LMAO..thats not gonna convince me of anything..even defensive bums like Troy Murphy get a block here or there at some point. How about closing out on perimeter shooters or keeping your man infront of you? Neither guys are good at either.

So, BaySickBrain, that's the same team who gave up the most points in the NBA last season. They may (and I stress may) play good individual defense but as a team they breakdown defensively CONSTANTLY. You're making the Warriors out to be the best defense team in the league lol
the most points doesnt necessarily mean the worst defense. just because a team walks the ball up the floor and sits on it for the entire shotclock all game doesnt mean they have better defense.

it means they play at a slower pace. we play at the fastest pace in the nba. more possessions, more shots, more points.

if coaching coached any sort of defense and put a reasonable lineup on the floor, such as 3 or less guards, we can be a factor.

turiaf alone raised our team defense, everybody tries harder because of his intensity and effort.

if you watched that jazz game near the end of the season last year, you would know what our team is capable of. we bodied the jazz with a reasonable lineup, 2 big men- turiaf/biedrins and randolph/wright.

team defense comes from coaching and effort. with our individually strong defensive players we could be a great defensive team. we are in the top 3 for blocks and steals as a team each of the last 2-3 years.

we have breakdowns because coaching doesnt care, the philosophy is "so what if they scored, run and chuck up a shot as quick as possible"

How do you know things will be so much different if Keith Dumb were to take over?

i know they cant get any worse. keith smart cares about both sides of the ball, that alone is a huge difference.

i'm doubtful keith smart would run a gimmick 3-4 guard lineup while allowing 2nd chance points everytime down the floor.

i'm doubtful keith smart would want us to lose in his first head coaching position.

i just threw him out there since someone ignorant said nobody would want to coach for us. i dont have a list of available coaches, and i dont care to find 1 unless i was hiring a new coach.

i stay following my teams, not every single team in the leagues.

the warriors should be able run the court and rebound descent this year. We have some skinny bigs but they can move and play into don nelson's strengths as a coach if given the opprtunity, imo. we could be fighting for that 7/8 spot this year.

bukee is only 2 years into the league, those were only a sample of highlight blocks he has made. unfortunately youtube doesnt love the warriors like i do for me to show you more.

bukee has got burnt a few times but so does everybody, even chris paul. the majority of the time, his de is solid and the effort is there.

watson's lateral quickness isnt that of ellis but he goes hard. i've seen him get burnt too, like everybody does. but i've seen him body derron williams who is a premier pg in this league.

both players are young, hard workers constantly improving, that give 100% effort on both ends of the floor. in a system where a coach cared about team defense, they would be factors.

sleep all you want, i dont care what u think or do since it sounds like ur gonna stay stuck on whatever u think regardless.

with facts like that, you must have all the clues.
I know these facts.

-Warriors will be 1st or 2nd in the league in scoring this year.

-Warriors will give up the most or second most points in the league this year.

-Warrior basketball = Nellie Ball = Small Ball. Love it or hate it but that's what we are.

-I will be leaving work early today to go watch opening night live for the 17th year in a row.

Go W's.

ESPN’s Chris Broussard is reporting that the Stephen Jackson trade talk has heated up for the Golden State Warriors. Broussard stresses that these are strictly rumors at this point, but mentions that team’s like the Cavs, Nuggets, Spurs, Hornets and Clippers might be interested in acquiring Jackson. The Warriors apparently are interested in Manu Ginobili from the Spurs or Zydrunas Ilgauskas from the Cavs.

Golden State wants Zydrunas Ilgauskas from Cleveland, but the Cavs aren't willing to give him up because they need him to back up Shaq. The Warriors would like Manu Ginobili from the Spurs, but I can't see the Spurs parting with Manu. I'm told the Warriors' discussions with Denver were brief because Jackson's $7.65 million salary doesn't fit under their $7.4 million trade exception.

i dont like either ilgauskas or ginobili. theyre both old and injury prone. neither makes us better than jackson.

No coach will win with a flawed or completely injured roster, which is exactly what the Warriors were last season.

Anyway Im done with this arguement, you're making me defend Nellie and Im not even a fan of his style. Im just smart enough to realize he is the only coach that has helped lead this team to the playoffs in the last 20 years. Im not confident Rowell will find a better replacement if they were to get rid of Nellie and Riley at the end of the season. Riley wants to keep our young talent and build around that..Im totally fine with that, this is the most young talent the team has had in a long time.
