he died there cause the cooking and being a drug lord was more important to him than anything. i like how he actually spelled it out and told skyler that, and killing jack without finding out where the rest of his money was cemented the fact it was never about the money, it was his ego pure and simple. now team walt can stop defending and justifying his actions. his ego got hank and gomez killed, he wasnt trying to protect his families well being. im disappointed he didnt force gretchen and elliot to admit they screwed him, but he did say something like 'this is your chance to make it right' and kinda alluded to it, but it wasn't satisfying for me. to me thats the beginning of heisenberg, when they screwed him, and there was the opportunity for it to come full circle in a confrontation, but it was left near unsaid. maybe walt was finally over it and felt he was beyond greymatter, who knows. glad jesse got away, walt destroyed his life, giving it back, albeit in shambles, was the least that piece of shit could do. real disappointed with the lydia stevia poisoning. it was so stupidly blatantly predictable and cheesy. i mean shes asked for extra stevia like in what, ten scenes? thought it was misdirection but nope, just fan service, so people could watch back and see those scenes and think theyre some kind of detectives for predicting it. i feel sorry for her daughter. lydias last scene with todd also came off as kinda goofy to me.
wheres huell? still waiting in that room for hank to show up? what about skylers old boss ted, who skyler threatened. he doesnt watch the news and never decided to go to the police? skyler getting immunity for giving up the locations of hank and gomez, pffft thats hilarious. what alternate universe is this.
i wanted this episode to divide the fans, create outrage, be stunning. it felt like they played it real safe, like they lost all the magic of the first seasons and the show just got too big for them and the expectations were too overwhelming. they didnt want anything controversial and they just wanted to wrap things up before they could possibly screw it up and piss off all the bandwagon fans.
