This episode doesn't compare to the others, but it was um... ok I guess. It showed how Jessie and Walt are still like father and son in a way, no matter what the other one did to piss the other one off, they still seem to have a love for each other and watch out for each other. Jesse seems like a selfish little bitch lately, but deep down I think he cares a lot about Walt as Walt cares for him.

For there only being three episodes left though, I was def. expecting more from this episode than what was shown. I have to agree, it was kinda lame and I'm hoping this is the only episode I can say that about. I hope to H.A.D. it doesn't fall off cuz that would suck.

3 episodes left, dam this season is going by quick. This episode was kind of weird in that it was mostly all in the lab. In the last scene, was there really a fly in the smoke detector over Walts bed or was that in his imagination? I wonder if the cancer came back in his brain and he's going crazy.
3 episodes left in the season not series right?

Yeah in the season. The series has at very least one more season.

I watched this episode again and liked it even more. I really like how it's just a Walt and Jesse episode, no one else. The whole part of Walt's speech about when would have been the perfect time to die when he was about to pass out was dope in my opinion. Also when he fell and hit the bin that shit looked like it fucking hurt lol. It was also a nice change of pace from the rest of the season.

Rian Johnson (Brick, The Brothers Bloom) directed this episode and he did a great job.

Yea man, 3 more season episodes. I haven't read where it has been picked up for a 4th Season but how could it not, right? I expect the next three episodes to involve lots of violence. The Tio ain't gonna be happy about what happened to the Cousins and he still needs to get "Heisenberg" for what happened to that crazy fucker last season. Oh yeah and I think Jesse's boy Skinny Pete is going to go first.

The fly represents a number of things, so it's not just about a fly. The episode is actually extremely deep. People might not like it because there wasn't any violence or the mexican killers, but as far as the writing and direction of the episode, it was absolutely top notch.

I have drawn a few conclusions myself about the episode. I think I might search the web and see if there's a breakdown somewhere. If anyone else comes up with somethin post a link please.....

One way of looking at is is the fly represents all of the "contaminants" in Walt's life, all of his problems. Walt obsesses over killing the fly, or fixing his life problems, but no matter how hard he tries he can't. Walt is the type of person who we've seen over and over throughout the series who wants things in order, he wants things perfect. Waiting at the hospital he fixes an off balance table. Why? Because that's the kind of person he is, he wants order, everything must be perfect. At the end of the episode Walt says to Jessie as he's trying to kill the fly for Walt, 'it doesn't matter, it's all contaminated' meaning he finally realizes he doesn't have control over certain things. This is confirmed because Jessie kills the fly, and yet when Walt is home, he sees another fly, which is basically saying the Fly is still there. Nothing was fixed or solved and his problems remain. It's further showing us how Walt is losing it because of all his problems, all his lies, all his guilt & mistakes are driving him nuts.

There were of course some other things, like the friendship, or father/son type of relationship between Walt & Jessie are still there, etc.

^^^double negative props.
thats pretty much what you typically see in filler episodes, character development.
not saying it was terrible but it definitely was not the best imo

man last episode was kinda crazy to me , i had so many different ideas running through my head about the god damn fly . . . . at one time i damn near thought Walt was fuckin with that product of his , but what i really thought the whole "fly" thing was about mainly Jessie being a contaminant of the lab & the whole thing was Walt trying to get rid of him but idk , i cant wait for tonights mutha fuckin episode !
