Two of the four veteran quarterbacks the Oakland Raiders plan to target in free agency are not yet free agents, although that is expected to change soon.

Matt Schaub of the Houston Texans tops the list, followed by the New York Jets' Mark Sanchez and current unrestricted free agents Josh Freeman and Michael Vick, in that order, according to a source.

Schaub and Sanchez are expected to be cut by their respective teams soon.

The Raiders currently have three quarterbacks on their roster in Terrelle Pryor, Matt McGloin and Trent Edwards. Coach Dennis Allen said he was not sure whether the team's quarterback of the future is in the locker room at this time.

I think Schaub could totally turn things around for himself with a fresh start. However if we were to sign him still would have to provide good protection for him cuz hes a pocket qb. Dont know if we can right now. Fuck that predictable ass Texans offense. Teams learned how to play them cuz they did the same shit over and over.

shaub, vick or sanchez,....i like sanchez, he could come into oakland like plunkett did back in the day and just get a new start, plus hes a westcoast boy, it would be a good fit for him,..or vick so he can mentor pryor and mcgloin!

I agree.....in no way do I want Sanchez, I thought he was trash at USC. Shcaub I would take because he had good years up until last year, but even Matt Ryan looked like trash last year. The other three can slide to the left, but I would definitely keep Mcgloin by the side, dude had half of a year with a shitty team and looked decent, but we definitely need an o-line for either of them to at least have a chance at being the started for a complete season.

i would pick up freeman seeing he had his best season under olson, but i really hope mcgloin pans out and they just dont dismiss him cuz he went undrafted, he did work, throws a good ball, feels the pressure in the pocket well, and drives the team to score TDs. give him the offseason to work with the offense and let him do work

his w-l record isnt indicative of his play, the defense was atrocious when he played.

I'd like Matt Schaub.

Schaub knows how to operate in a team being built up, and I think that would be beneficial for the Raiders.

I don't think the "QB of the future" is on the team now. And I don't think anyone available is either. That being said I think Schaub would be the best fit, he's a good capable QB that can steer the ship for a few seasons and win games. I think he'd be a good mentor for a draft pick or someone young we could pick up. I also think he's better than last season would have you believe.

In the six seasons since Schaub arrived in 2007, the Texans are 53-43 (.552) with one losing season and two AFC South titles. Schaub ranks seventh in NFL history in completion percentage (64.3), ahead of Tom Brady and Joe Montana. He ranks 11th all time in passer rating (91.9) and 12th in passing yards per attempt (7.77). Since 2007, he’s ninth in the NFL in passer rating (93.3), ahead of Matt Ryan (90.9), Michael Vick (87.8), Eli Manning (86.5) and Joe Flacco (86.3). And Schaub’s 261.4 passing yards per game since joining the Texans would rank third in NFL history behind only Drew Brees (270.1) and Peyton Manning (265.6).

i kinda feel bad for Mcfadden in a way and i don't the one year he was a top rusher then got hurt the next yr he looked scared to run and last yr he looked like he was going to return to running good but got hurt, i think he could play with some of his injury's but refuses too, i think he's soft in a way but i also think if he runs down hill and aint scared to lower his shoulder he'll be a top RB next yr BIG IF THO
