You guys keep focusing on Kiffin and the defense, yet your high powered offense manged only 2 scores on Sunday. We have one of the worst defenses in the league. Denver's D is tough
i was going to address that, but i forgot and lost track of this thread. but you're right, the cowboys weren't aggressive and kept on relying on check down passes/intermediate passes. the only deep pass i recall was tony romo's 2nd touchdown to dez bryant, which wasn't even that deep, dez made that touchdown possible with yards after the catch. i can understand why the cowboys gave up on the run, because the chargers went up by 9. philip rivers did a good job managing the offense, he was pretty fucking accurate and the chargers chipped away at the clock by running the ball as well. that forced the cowboys to abandon the run game, and they had to pass to score quick, which they didn't.
with a quarter of the regular season gone, i'm gonna remain optimistic, being a lifelong cowboys fan. and i hate to sound as if i'm giving up on the season, but i really doubt they'll turn it around. there's too many issues. jason garrett coaches the team with no passion, and aside from a few players like dez bryant and demarcus ware, the team lacks that passion and that "wanting to win" attitude. they're at 2-2 right now, and it looks like the cowboys will continue to do what they do best, which is be inconsistent, and they'll remain a mediocre team and end the season with another 8-8 record.
