WR Juron Criner hasn't been active for any of #Raiders first four games. WR Andre Holmes returns Monday from four-game suspension. Hmmmm.
holmes was reported as our best receiver throughout training camp, should be a boost to our offense with him in

Anybody thinks McFadden's hamstring injury is serious?

Darren McFadden reportedly avoids serious hamstring injury | ProFootballTalk

The Raiders lost running back Darren McFadden early in Sunday’s loss to the Redskins with a hamstring injury, but a report on Monday indicates that McFadden escaped without doing major damage to himself.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that McFadden “avoided serious injury” during the game. There’s nothing more specific than that regarding his condition, although Rapoport add’s that “we’ll see” about his status for the Week Five game against the Chargers.

Such waiting are nothing new for the Raiders with McFadden as every year seems to bring a different injury that leads to guessing games about whether or not he’ll be in the lineup from week to week. With the bye coming in Week Seven and that history of prolonged absences, McFadden and the Raiders could opt to play things cautiously.

If McFadden is out, there’s a good chance that the Raiders will be down two backs since Marcel Reece’s knee injury was believed to be more serious than McFadden’s hamstring on Sunday. Rashad Jennings, who ran for 45 yards on 15 carries with McFadden out on Sunday, will be the first man up in the backfield should McFadden be sidelined.

Holmes’ suspension ends, Raiders need to make roster move
ALAMEDA — Wide receiver Andre Holmes’ four game suspension ended with the completion of the Raiders fourth game. Therefore, he’s good to go for the rest of the season.
Holmes arguably was the Raiders best receiver during training camp and exhibition games. Regardless, he has the ability and experience to add some juice to the receiving corps.
The question is, who’s reps does he take? Rod Streater, Denarius Moore, Jacoby Ford and Brice Butler all played quite a bit against the Washington Redskins on Sunday. Juron Criner was not activated for the fourth straight game.
It’s safe to assume that Holmes will get playing time. Moore has been the Raiders most productive receiver so far. Streater is the other starter, though he hasn’t been a huge factor this season.
That leaves Ford and Butler to surrender some playing time if the Raiders are to get Holmes involved in the offense.
Holmes gives the Raiders another deep threat, a receiver that can make plays in traffic and over smaller defenders. He showed that ability throughout camp and in exhibition games.
At some point, the Raiders need to make a roster move to accommodate Holmes on the 53-man, active roster. That shouldn’t be too difficult.
Though it’s easy to speculate and say Criner would be the logical choice, that’s not apt to happen. The Raiders haven’t given up on Criner. He just isn’t viewed as one of their four best receivers right now.
It makes far more sense for the Raiders to cut someone such as guard Lamar Mady.
Holmes hasn’t been allowed to practice with the Raiders since his suspension for violating of the league’s policy on performance-enhancing drugs kicked in at the tail end of training camp. He likely will be at practice Wednesday.

Positve #Raiders D note for the D: they are only team to hold Peyton Manning under 40 points so far this season

yo it was terrible to be at that game and watch a shitty team comeback like that.

Yall can say flynn is garbage as much as you want, and I think he needs a whole lot of work, but when u have an oline as shitty as us, you cant be a quarterback who stays in the pocket. Elite quarterbacks wouldnt be able to ball with this oline.

The plays where he did get good protection, he held the ball too long though, which is fuckin retarded cause he has to know every snap hes not gonna get 5+ seconds to look downfield

That's why a qb like pryor works with a shitty o-line, as long as you see the pocket begin to collapse then get the fuck out of there instead of ducking and waiting to be sacked. The one thing that sucks is that not knowing how long Pryor will last taking hits week in and week out.
